If you are looking for handling then I would shoot for stiffer springs, struts that will support the springs and get a front strut bar. With the stiffer springs it will lower the car some. I've heard Eibach springs are good.

In australia we use the old coke can test. if you can put a can under the lowest part of you car (including side skirts) its legal. If the can wont slide upright under the car its two low, i think it aprox 3" but the can works well.

As for the cost your looking aprox $300. but dont gey you springs cut the will never match up, you insurance might be void, cause damage to steering and suspension, and your self.

But make sure you at least 3 qoutes if you dont know how much somthing gona be.

New wheels and tires make an amazing difference.

I've got 16x7.5s with 45x205 tires (Yokohama ES 100) and I couldn't believe the difference!
