yeah unfortunetly it sounds like ur oil bearing is about to go
that happens when u drive around with no oil for a while and unfortunetly most mechanics will recommend an engine rebuild or an engine swap over because its not really a replaceable part of the engine.
i think its time for a ca18det or a sr20 :)
good luck

what state are you in and are you interested in selling the car

Its very likely the 2litres which was already in the car before you filled up isn't doing anything, and its probably thinner than water. If the stick now says the oil is full, i'd try this before putting it down to something terminal. You could replace the main end bearing yourself (before it breaks anyway) for around $150 and about 10-20 hours of your time (this involves removing the sump and pulling the crank out from the bottom to avoid a new head gasket and the time involved in pulling that off). If you decide to part the car out let us know what u've got and where you are :)

I think that it the tappets, cause it loosn oil, today if pissed out near the gearbox, b4 it was just dropin a little bit (i.e a drop a day) but now it drops patches the size of cheesebuger, had a look cumin from a seal.
About 6 months ago I told my mechanic about it and he said that it would cost a shit load to fix cause i he has to take out the clutch and box to fix it, should i use that engine stop leak stuff, or get it fixed?

Joey.... where exactly did you have oil leaking? Please explain where and how much as detailed as u can. I'm trying to decide whether to try and replace a hose, or just rip the gearbox out & start from the rear seal he fixed on yours. Oh I love my exa :hitwall:

This is what he done, replaced the rear main oil seal, what he needed to do was remove drive shafts, crossmembers, associated hardware, remove gearbox and flywheel, fit new rear main oil seal, refit it all and filled with oil.
Fom what I could see the oil was coming from the bottom of the engine where it bolts together, it started to leake when I first bought it ( in july) and last staturday started to piss out. hope it helps in some wat shape or form.

Cheers joey :) Last question is, did u have oil sitting on top of the gearbox or back of engine (facing firewall). Thanks for u're help with this mate, just trying to avoid a gearbox removal job if I can :D

Nah there was no oil on top the gear box or on the firewall, I had to have the gearbox removed. DO you know any engineers whom can certify for rims to be 1.5 inches wider than standard.
