body kits

Im looking for body kits. Can't find a company that makes them. gettng ready to make one myself. I would rather buy one than go through the pain in making one form the ground up.

In Australia there is a front bar made by Online Performance and a whole kit is nearly ready from Jetspeed. There also used to be a Japanese kit which is no longer made (the front bar of which is on NX EXA from Pensacola's car).

Since I see you are in the USA then the only options you have are to start from scratch (which if you get someone to do will cost a packet), as you said, or modify an existing kit from another car to fit onto yours...

I'm afraid he is right Vamp, there are no kit available in the US. If you really want a kit but not looking to pay out the arse then I would try and fit one from another car about the same size.

so your the guy who owns LEBSTA's old car hey!! yeah that was in hot 4's a while back too, i dont think it was modified crx kit mate, i think that they custom made the front bar and the side skirts and rear bar are a jetspeed item cutsom fitted from an old skool honda prelude (one with pop up lights, looks kinda like an exa) i'm pretty sure thats the story from memory, bloody nice car but mate, can u let out how much u ended up paying for it???

yeah it was online performance who made the front bar and jetspeed the rest. But Mohammad was always goin on about the CRX's to me and how he was gonna do one of them up then decided to an Exa cause he could do it better but the more i look at the kit it has alot of similarity to a CRX on but i dont care it looks better on the Exa. also i paid $13000 for it i got ripped off big time.

The Engine is shit house i blew the head driving it back from NSW its all good now but sluggish as it has real low compression but at least all of the cylinders are at even compression. the extirior is ok apart from the front bar is pulled the screws on the side but the door trims are stuffed across the bottom he used the wrong paint so it just cracks but im gonna fix that. andthe dash is incorrect so ill have to buy a new one and make it white myself apart from that it gets the looks and thats what i like

mates lebstas kit was a prelude kit! modified for a exa. also if anyoen wants custom werk it is expensive unless you do it urself. trust me a mate has fully customised his ke tx3 witha veilside, civic and some other jsut for teh rear bar teh labour is what costs u money!. p.s i werk at a bodykit places every friday for werk placement as i am in still year 11 and trust me custom werk is great but expensive!!!!!

lebstas rear bar is sweet and those jetspeed sideskirts are killa lebstas and ravers kits all flow together at the bottom with looks unreal mrxr2u's kit doesnt the front and rear bars look way to big for the lil exa lebstas paint sticks out and looks nice but ravers paint aint the best glitter?/??? and mrxr2u's paint aint to crash hot either sorry dudes the best colour for and exa is sivler or mettalic grey (jessv3) and did anyone see inside ravers car at any of the shows??? :thumbsdow

The only bodykit i have seen that even remotely look like it fits an exa is the Erebuni bodykit that was in Suishi's car...

Im sorry to say that the majority of the kits available for the exa are a mixture of poorly designed, poorly fitted, dodgey peice of shit monstrosities that should be left on the cars that they were originally designed for.... None of the bodykits that you guys have posted flow with the lines of the exa... if i saw an exa drive past me with a kit like those, I would laugh myself stupid... What a waste of over 2 grand...

To get a kit properly designed for the exa by a reputable bodykit manufacturer will cost in the vicinity of 10 - 12k... Way out of the budget for the majority of you guys...

That is a Grand Prix front end.. talked about in other threads which i cant be bothered looking for. (do a search kids)

The Grand Prix was a special edition car to commemorate the exa being used as the car for the celebrity race at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in 88. The bumper has rubber extensions on it to make it look different from the stock bar.

I agree with the red car, the ends of the bumper should match the shape of the car, it's too rounded.

The drift kit doesn't look all that bad, I like the bigmouth kit better though.

GP extension are the easiest to do and it looks extremely good on the front end.

With what Chad said about the Erebuni kit, that is the only kit I have seen that looks the best when it comes to the lines of the car. I love the kit even though I reshaped mine a little bit in the front.

As i said it needs to be less rounded at the corners, it doesnt at all flow. The hard part about finding kits to suit an n13 exa are getting something modern yet boxy to match the lines of the car. Also the taper at the front needs to be taken into consideration too (from the wheels forward).

Like I said the other night, IMHO the stock Sti WRX kit, would look really good on an Exa. If you get the mid to late 90's one's they are still boxy enough to suit the Exa's lines but modern enough not to look tacky.

I checked it out and there's a 9 cm difference between the WRX front end and the Exa front end. A panel beater friend of mine thinks he can cut a chunk out of the front bar and plastic weld it back together so it fits the Exa front end. Probably have to do the same to the back end too to a lesser degree, but the skirts should fit with minimal mods.

What's everyones opinion on this? I would have done a mock up in photoshop but unfortunatly Adobe isn't compatable with the operating system we're running. If anyone else wants to have a go at putting that together, feel free.

I was thinking the Sti wing might look good on the Exa too, but again, no mock up so I can't be sure.

Has anyone got pics of Lenny's (TRB.O8U) kit? I've only ever seen it from a distance but from what I can see, it looks awesome.

lenny's kit is a modified suziki swift front bar, not sure on side skirts... but the rear bar and spolier were a custom home made job... his car is awesome... bodykit, turbo, digital dash. tv screen what more could u want?!? ohh yeah and i reckon the best kit by far that i have ever seen is the Erebuni kit!! that is awesome.. it looks good on nx's car and the best exa in the world Shishi's exa has that kit on it too!!! he also has turbo, tvscreen, digital dash etc... for those of u who have never seen shishi's car i'll attatch some pics!!! pitty u cant buy the Erebuni kit anymore so unless u buy a car with it already on u got no chance!!! just my 2cent,

alright i went to jetspeed today to look at the new kit...
the front bar is similar to lebstas one but the cut outs are a bit bigger and the mesh insert in the middle is not so large...
it looks pretty good...
but not much difference...
the guy sed that one person has it on his car...
the price for the front bar is $480 (unpainted)
the back bar is the same as lebstas back but there is 2 inserts goin down... (devided into 3 sections)
same price for the back bar... ($480)

And it's the same bar that raver had, cause an email from jetspeed said it's the same as ravers except for the front bumper.

im telin ya theres not much diff from lebstas bar...
the hole kit is basically the same...
and the back bar looks like the one on the back of the coroalla but the metal spaces were the same colour as the kit and itmore square then that bar...
if u like lebstas front bar ull like it...
n yeh i hope there sprayin ravers front bar cause last time i saw it it didnt look in the best condition...

In the last two weeks i went to a Bodykit place and i can buy a kit for a Sylvia and it looks like the go for us. But it will come at a price for the kit-$1100. To modify it to the Exa $1900. So thats all up $3000. but it will be a one off kit , so for those people who just want a kit this will give you some idea of comparison for an off the self kit or custom...

Try looking at the bodykits and look for kits - S13 nissan on the net , different syles from different web sits, then find one that suits your style...

i went to sas and i there was only two exas there... ILEGAL AND RAVER...
i still have my opion on which one is better but seein that the thread is closed bout all that we will jus leave it as that...
RAVER took his old custom kit off n now curently has the new jetspeed kit...
i was speakin to him n he wants to sell it...
he wants 9grand...
its a 97 model the interior is stock but everythin else is pretty much done... i got pics of it so if u want to c it let me noe n ill email it too ya... ilegal looked fuckin nice and personally it took the cake...
