Daniel.. my car is fubard BIG time, ive been waiting for the day that i finally dies! and its finally come! The starter motor has craped its pants, along with various other shit.

But the reason for it not moving at the mo is that the master cylinder has gone caput. i changed the slave cylinder like 2 weeks ago and now the master one has gone, so i cant afford to fix it, ill have to do it myself.

I found a second hand one from nisswreck and today im gonna attempt to put it in! I cant find info on how to do it bloody anywhere, so im about to look on the silvia forums. Im figuring that they have the same engine so it has to give me some hints!

anyways off to play mechanic sarah, and hopefull it will be running by the cruise (gonna burn it if it's not)

Next Friday (21st) i'm having lowered heavy duty king springs fitted, as well as two new front shockers and hopefully 2 new front low profiles fitted. That's gonna cost me in the $750-$800 mark. I will see what i can do.

Southern Cruise: Sunday March 23rd 2003.

Northern Meet-up - TTP or Ingle farm k-mart, whatever you people would prefer?
Time - 12.30pm (meet up by)


Central Meet-up - Wince Centre cap park (botanical gardens).
Time - 1.00pm (meet up by)


Southern - Marion Shopping Centre, Car Park near Bunnings.
Time - 1.30pm (meet up by)
These Time have been choosen in order to facilitate use of the Southern Express way before it reverses Direction at 2.00pm.

I would like Volunteers for cruise leaders from the Northern meeting point (someone familiar with getting from up north to down south - i.e. Marion) in order to help other cruisers not familiar with the southern side of the city make it on time.

I will be present at the Central and Marion Meeting points, in order to count numbers hand out maps and say hello to people! See u all there!

Could people intending to come along to the cruise please drop any criticism of these times. Thank-you.

P.S. People are always free to make their own way to Marion by 1.30pm should they not be interested in meeting up (or want to get an extra hours worth of sleep!)

Sorry i had to go.Emergency at home.

It was oki i thought there would be more cars but had good time.

As for the exa didnt like the heat it was a bit slugish but on the way back after it cooled down it was going crazy.i had problems with that stupid vacum hose for idle so it bogs down in gear changes but replaced the hose and now it perfect need to connect the cooler up for warmer days.

Dan wish u speedy recovery and take Bill's head off if theres any damage to the piston.Talked to my cous in QLD last nite said u can blame it on him but its up to him to wear it they can come up with all sorts of shit to get out of it.so good luck.

hmmm - more pinging aint good. Thats if it is pinging. I actually retarded the timming so that shouldnt make it better if anythign, but you could adjust it back to where I showed you to see if its any better there. A good thing to do would be to check the plugs on it - cos if you just bought it, the previous owner probably hadnt changed the plugs for like 80,000 and now that your giving it a bit they have died. I actually missed the train this morning and will be here till Tuesday morning - so if you need me to have a look at it or help oyu chuck some new plugs in it - gimme a call: 0438414011

Dan just called me then while I was on the train - He was driving the car home!!! :D A bit of weld got sucked in off the cooler and was dinging up the plugs. Took that out and everything seems to be fine! To be honest - Icant believe thats all it was, at first I thought it was nothing major - but after hearing that random knock I was stressing!!! That definatley is good news!

Adam's car seems to have lost its pinging after a igniton lead swap (last I heard) and thats good news too.

Thanks for all ya support guys, although it was a speedy solution, it would seems there is still some left in there, rooted another plug today... :( its fine to drive, so its not damaging anything internally, just as it gets sucked in, witht the force its bouncing around the cylinder it hits the spark plug contact, losing power in that cylinder... just gotta find where its coming from..

Anyhoo, shit happens! a guy rocked up at ATS when i was there and was captivated by my engine, turns out he has a N12 and knew nothing about the club, after a quick chat bout my car and the club i had to shoot off, but hopefully we'll see him on here soon...

He's got an N12 kit comin from canberra auto styling on the way too. can't wait to see it.

hmm - be very carefull Dan!!!! Are you %100 sure its weld form the cooler? If its doing that to your plugs, imagin what it could be doing to the bore/ and or/ piston... Find it now man!!! You could remove your cooler and just put a straight bit of pipe in there (I know it would seem pointless, but it takes the cooler out of the equation) if your still killing plugs, swap back to the original pipe from turbo to throttle body. If its still doing it then - panic.....
