Gday,

Bout a year back a bloke at work had an ef falcon with 2 kicker 6x9 subs. He bought them as a runout model from JB. Anyone ever seen, heard or know anyting about these?

Cheers;)

He probably meant Mids. There is no such thing as a 6x9" sub. :)

actually there is mate!!! I have heard of them and only good stuff too ;)

Basically they are 6*9's without the tweeter tower and such! They are still run like normal speakers they just dont have the high end...
Also is depends on how you set them up!
All-in-all they have a higher power handling than just your average 6*9!

Craig.

Yeah, I've seen a 6x9 woofer in a tube enclosure too (like the base cannons). You'd only really use them if you were tight on space though... they don't put out much bass.

hell yeah it was but i needed some bass speakers and the mid range and tweeters were stuffed on these peakers so i sut them off and hooked them up. They actually sound really good. The speakers are still going hard at my uncles. I was fixing a set of blown home stereo speakers.
