Since there is a lot of posts reguarding this an Dont what to replay to them all. too much typing and I broke my thumb 2 days ago.
Well, It took me about 4 or 5 hrs to do. but then I did not have anything to go by.
I took everything out of the back of the car. The Rear seat all the plastic in the back. Then I took out the speakers and the plastic holding the speakers in place. I also had to take the metal bracket that held that plastic holding the speakers. You are going to need to bind it a little and I was only able to use three screws to hold the speaker in. Now the fun part hehe. you are going to need to make room for the magnet. I had to cut and bend the metal where the magnet sits. A Dremal and a ball hammer worked for me. crude but it worked. next put everything back together. That is about it.
I am going to get a camera tomarrow and I will post some pic's tomarrow.
If you have any questions just replay to this post. I will be happy to answer them.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Heard of alpines? Or "real" speakers???
Crap speakers useually have a larger magnet! If you had just spent an extra $50 or so you could have got a much better speaker and it would have fitted in just fine!

Cutting metal in your car is illegal. I got my 6x9s in and all i did was cut the black plastic to siaze and mounted it straight to that, I just bent the metal back so the magnet would fit. I like the fact I can see the speaker.
Craig more power usually means bigger magnet. Alpine isn't THE best brand.

I agree, they will sound fine, you damn sound enthusiast need to realize that with the T-tops off and or hatch, sound quality is going to be crap at any speed anyway, so why waste the $ on it...

Oli man... THAT IS TOTAL UTTER CRAP
Who told you this???
That is the biggest load of bullshit i've ever heard!
It's what goes into them man! Crap brands will normally have a much bigger magent than a better brand with the same power ratings! Basically because there isn't as much workman ship go into the cheaper ones!
Go ask any GOOD sound store and that is what they will tell you!

oh and my sound system is awesome with Enclosed car or T-tops off! And going anyspeed!
But in a way that is true it just depends where are speakers are... and wether they are enclosed or not! And same with the subs!
Mine are in a bandpass box so that's y there aint much difference
You still feel the rumble it's just a little quieter coz the sound waves arnt reaching you as easy!

Yep, i had some cheesy boss 6x9s from the early 1990's in the rear and some cheapo 6.5"s in the front, just running off a decent deck, sounded great with t-tops and hatch off at freeway speeds :)
(the neighbors didnt like it much :)

I agree wit devilexa... doesnt mattr if u got pioneer, kenwood, clarion... with most electronics wot u pay is wot u get...
the more $ the betr the quality.
the less $ the poorer the quality.
but i couldnt justify getting a good pair of 6x9z if ur running a sub, u might as well get a pair of splits, the difference in sound quality is unbelivable.
Because the woofer act as a 7.5 inch speaker (which we all no wouldnt produce much high frequencys)
but the only down side of not gettin 69z is that u dont hav the mid bass levels that they produce...

u guys are wierd... running 6x9's in your pulsar for rear fill :p
but whatever floats your boats i guess...
personally i don't like rear fill... 99% of cd's are done in 2-channel... plus, running the 6x9's will mostly likely mess up your frontstage...
just buying a nice set of componets for the frontstage and an amp is really all u need for your highs and mids...
o....
and DEVILsEXA... that bandpass box u have is build for your subs specs, right... its not some prefab box u just drop your sub into...
unless u got lucky, and it sounds decend... also, i'm not a fan of bandpass boxes....
one of my many reasons is filtering often masks any distortion that occurs as a result of amplifier clipping or overexcursion and will give the user no warning that the driver is over-stressed and about to fail.
