speaker repairs?

hey guys

i have a set of wicked infinitii splits that cost $900 about 5 years ago.. but to my dismay the rubber on them has crumbled

i've told i can get this repaired for reasonably cheap, but will they still have the same quality?

has anyone repaired speakers before?

Jaycar sell high quality poly-vinyly surround kits which you can use to replace your old surrounds. You would have found that your old surrounds were foam (they have a tendencie of detorating in Aussie climate) which are slightly better for base but usually you'll never notice the difference.

how hard is it to replace??

I've never done it but i couldn't imagine it being too hard. I've used their nose cone fixer kit and that was real easy.
