FRONT LIP off a GP EXA

Hey.

im after a pair of lips of the Front bar of a GP exa ..

any one know of a Gp being wrecked or have spare ones that they want to sell for under $200 .

let me no .. cheerz ;)

ehhh... my lips r gettin shabby... need 2 b alligned and resprayed... low cars and speed humps = enemies

im interested if u can still buy em from nissan... coz i thought they ceased makin the lips... coz it will cost a bit to fix me lips... mite b just better replacin them

yer u can still order them but expect to pay $350 plus shippin fees from the nissan @ japan ..

it would prob be cheaper to fix the ones ur've got. ... which i mite come and steal

So i got told... King springs have levels of lowerin and my GP used 2 have the lowest possible...Arse scrapin..and 2days after i bought it took a huge chuck out tha left lip... on a damn pothole... and yeah overtime they have like buckeled a lil... and to top it off ive done bar damae when i went over a speed hump.. so i dont kno if its worth fixin its only gonna get damaged again :rolleyes:

if u get the Extensions b weary of them been on the car... especially if its lowered... like on driveways speed humps, big ass humps etc.. they r easily damaged

hmm i no how u feel im just gettin some cracks repaired on my front bar from a few drive way / gutter incidents ... do u hav a pic of these damaged lips i would be keen to see them ?

havent got foto's just yet but definately this weekend (WA Exa Cruise) ummm i guess i could take sum poor qualitly digital camera pics 2moro... but bare in mind i havent done much damage since the car has been put to its legal lowest

id be intrested in that too GP, that price dont sound too bad + i forget what GP extentions look like!! and i cant get on the gallery to remind me dammit.

nissan would be the only place u could get them wouldnt it? well gps are prety rare letalone the frontbars.

Lol i just remembered if u wanna jog ya memory of the lips the OOBAby car ( i think that is ) logo car - tha blue one at the top of this screen has them fitted...

yer they look mad on on oobay, and WH55L's car has them 2 ... i want a pair bad....... but dont want to pay bloody $350 for them.

just how bad condition are ur ones gp exa? .. because if there fixable and u get new ones then i would be keen to buy ur old ones

id pay 350, u never know when they will stop making them, could b tomorow, , then theyd be worth twice that :P
plus ive got the money so i spose it doesnt seem as much to me.
i thought the oobaby car had gp extentions, but its too small i cant see in detail, i know what they are again tho

hrmmm... its hard to say.... fotos will make it clear,,, but since i kno nissan still produce them i will go down and ask for an exact price... or mayb c my best friends fried who is a panel beater and c how much he can buy em in 4, paint and fit... i will get back 2 u but it could b a few days... the lips rnt relly that damaged i guess.... but yeah paint and a lil repair...

yer well the price of $350 i got is from a mate who works 4 nissan
he said they still make them ...but u hav to order them from japan (4weeks) .. and there 190 for left side and 180 for the right ... weird different prices .. these figures mite not be exact but there close enough ... its friggin 2.46am gimmie a brake ..

i dont think japan nissan will stop makin them for a while . yet

yea they still make em at nissan.. and where u say u gotta pay for shipping out nissan @ japan.. thats crap.. cause last time i spoke to nissan they said they had like 9sets in melb..... ill ring up and confirm this today...

well if melb nissan has 9 lips then why did they hav to get ordered from japan .... also im alittle curious on why u where calling nissan after some front gp lips when u dont have an exa?

hehehe i just think its kinda crazy 2 pay 350 bucks for little rubber extension pieces when u can buy a complete front bar from jetspeed or online performance for not alot more... thats just my thoughts,
hehehe i know wat u mean with the lowest king springs...... this is what i have on my car at the moment and fark i hate those rounded gutters where the driveways are no different to the gutter... i just cant get to peoples houses who have that type of driveway cause my front bar clips it, then the chassis or sumthing in the middle hits it, then my muffler nails it aswell.... not real cool!!!!!

Reason for the different prices is quite simple really.... The left one is more expensive because its the first part of the car to come into contact with gutters and such. Hence the reason y nissan charge more.....

The reason y i went for the GP fron extensions was because my original front bar wasnt that badly damaged, it cost like $50 to repair it, about $355 for the extensions (which i had been looking for over a year) and another $100 to respray it... Much better looking then some crappy fitting non-original front bar.

I took some pics of them before i resprayed them, ill try to find them if i can..

Get them while u can, because i assure u, that nissan in Japan will stop making them eventually, making them worth alot of money.

Also in the 8-9 months that ive had mine on my car, i havent scraped them once, i dont know what u people r doing wrong? Take driveways at angles and slowly...

Hehehe.. my Extension were damaged from the guy b4 i bought the car... ive only scraped a couple of times when i wasnt thinkin properly... and plus when i did scrape em my car would have been a whole 100mm off the ground or less...

yea jess.. maybe i work for nissan (trucks) and i have a very good connenction with nissan parts ppl (i get things at dealer if i need)....
and i rung up origonally cause ppl had trouble trying to find them.. so i thought i would help ppl out??

Hey exagp what about that speed hump in northbridge near where there's thos fountain things on the road.. I swear the humps like 60 cm high.. Iv smacked into it way too much.. and I was alongside this dero in a lowered statesman dragging through northbridge late one sat night and his bottom hit it and smashed his cat loose from his exhaust so his car was going RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA sooo loud... who was cool then.. lol not him, and all the ppl where looking at him... lol.

hey i was wondering if any new that any other model cars have the same lips as the ones were talking about here , because i noticed a n13 SSS pulsar/vector sedan the other day with a lip that looked similar to gp lips ? ... is this possible or am i seeing things ? im sure u could get them fitted for an exa
