My oil pressure guage is no longer working (the wires are disconnected), so i could not tell the level of oil pressure.
So do you really need this guage to work? Is it important to know ur oil pressure level? I actually had this not working for almost a year now.
Any help would b great...Thanx!

If it's only the guage that's disconnected I would worry too much.
If the light is also disconnected (they both come from the same sensor) I would look into fixing the problem ASAP.

Unless you have a problem with losing oil i wouldn't worry about it too much...on most cars all the oil pressure sending unit does it send voltage to the light on the dash when there is too low of pressure. My car burns oil so I have to keep tabs on it (till i put my new motor in). so in my case it is something to worry about. Aftermarket gauges look good though if you want to do that...

All the guages are there for a reason if the wires are disconnected then your not gonna get any reading on the guage or the light and u could do some serious damage here is the harsh reality
Once upon a cruise your driving along and your sump plug comes out maybe cause u didnt tighten it up or maybe cause u bottomed out on a speed hump cause ya car is drop on the deck what ever case all the oil runs out and you driving along pumping the stereo so u cant hear the noise the lifters are making etc so all of a sudden your engine siezes up cause the big end bearings have run dry or you through a rod out the side of the block you dunno whats happening and u painic cause the wheels have locked up cause its still in gear and the engine siezed you skid off the road and hit a pole now ya cars stuffed all for the sake of pluging in a couple of wires or going to an auto elec and giving him a few bucks.so the light never came on and u never seen the oil pressure drop on the guage from oil running out and u could have switched it off and saved a full engine rebuild or new engine.
The end. :)

hmmm.. while ur on the topic of oil presure guages.... i read from Hots 4... recently... that if one is fitted they r vluable.. coz if the needle is to so much as to move it therefore shows there is a leak or pressure problem.. im guessin this makes sense but is this the case 4 the OEM Exa oil pressue guages
