e16 turbo!?

Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the carburated version of e15's (perhaps in first exa's). I am currently thinking about reconditioning my caburated e16 and I want a motor that will actually keep up with traffic. I had an idea of getting the carby set up and turbo manifold+turbo from an early e-15 and whaking it on my e16 with low copression pistons and stuff. Will it work? I need answers

my first exa had a e15 motor and to tell the truth if you get the engin recond it will keep up with trafic easy... but with the carby my mech and i tryed with a few different carby;s and found that it would flood every time so in the end i just orded a new one and just put a k/n air filter element and the differents could be felt.
