Hey Ladies & Gents,
As the title states, how low is your NX/NX-R?
I'm looking at lowering the farker by Saturday, so I want my springs by Wednesday.
Anyone in Sydney have advice where to go and what prices to expect.
I want a 2.5" DROP in the car, getting shocks when tax money comes, so not much bouncing worries :D
Anyone who can give me definate good deals for NX-R coupe King Springs, I am in your debt :D

Buy the springs and fit them yourself. It'll save you some money. Do the same with the shocks too. Better yet, buy them and do them all at once.
Mines dropped about an inch, maybe 1.5. It was done by the previous owner.

NXR20T I live literally a 10min walk from Whiteline :D
Whiteline charges more from the factory than their suppliers (from the horses mouth). Best I've got was for the whiteline springs is $240.
I'll PM you later today (Sunday) as I've just got back from work.
And another thing, don't need a fitting price when I'm doing it myself and at a mates workshop doing wheel alignment/balancing at mates rates :D
Dac, I've been waiting 11 months and the best part of 3 weeks, I should be allowed to be impatient for once heheheh!

Yeah its not cheap, but you get what you pay for I guess, I wouldnt touch kings again (just my opinion, if any one like them good for you).
I put front and rear h/d sway bars, engine strut camber/castor kits kyb gas shocks and whiteline springs, all up I think materials cost me about $1800+
Add to that a few busted and bruised knuckles, and a carton of tooheys and she was all good, I will try and get a hold of a pic to show how low it sat and stuff, cheers
Brett.
Oh yeah I sold her yesterday :(

How much did you 'give' it away for Brett? The price you were asking was pretty much a steal anyways!
Oh yeah, is PGA down? I've been getting the 'cannot find server' message for the last couple of days :plainlike

if you want PGA go to forum.pulsarsss.com
some issue with the domain name.. could be a while before the other name is back..
And I think whiteline give a members discount to PGA members ... i know most of us are members there anyways.. so it could be worth asking about...

Hey what was your suspension like when you did springs yourself? My brother's doing mine and he said the susp doesn't come back up from within the strut after being pushed down. My boyfriend's dad (mechanic) said this is normal - as long as there's decent resistance when you push down.... Apparently the new spring also makes a clicky noise when you turn the steering wheel (I haven't driven it - it's what my brother said).. Hmmm, might have to get in the professionals..
thanks

Hey mate, I let her go for 8800, sad huh considering the suspension was nearly 2k, the zorst 2k and almost 1k worth of clutch, yeah pga was having issues.
But anyways back to suspension I am now looking at dobisons (sp) spring went on a cruise and one of the girls had em in her car, it looked nice and seemed to ride well, also having a look see at fulcrum coilovers and the new KYb adjustable types, I will let you guys know if I do get any of this gear and how well it rides, cheers
Brett.

Ok - lowering all done - sweet as!
Kings reckon the 55mm is as low as they go for an NX. No scrubbing with 17x7 wheels.
Put Monroe GT series suspension in mine and it just hugs the road like a tight little race car... well you know what i mean :)

Hey NXR20T - yep will get some more photos.. prob this weekend when nxtsi is looking schmicko for the cruise!
fahootie - my bro did mine but Quickfit quoted me $200 for labour ($250 with wheel alignment)!! pretty expensive I reckon... Pedders are supposed to be good but prob around the same sort of money... if you're really strapped for cash you could just find someone from this site who's done their own before? (search on this site for springs/lowering etc.)
Good luck...

Are you referring to the prices ??? I don't think it matters what springs - that's just the labour cost..
I think they're called "super low" (like what SickNX said) 55mm. Can get ones that are 35 or something too. Prob best to ring King Springs or do a search on this site.

17x7" (I think 7.5 are too wide for NXs) and the tyres I have on are 205-45-17. No scrubbing probs what-so-ever. When I saw how big the NX wheel arches were I was happy!!!!
