Hey guys!
I am the new www.nissan.exa member and I have just bought my baby ( Exa '89) few days ago. I have put new tyres on the standard exa wheels (14"). Tyres are 205/60/14. My problem is that rear two tyres are rubbing against suspension. There is probably about 1 mm space between the top of the tyre and the suspension.
I can hear it rubbing especially when cornering and when there are bumps on the road. What amuses me the most is that tyres are only one size biger that the factory ones.
Plese help.

It's all fixed. I have put some spacers and it seems to be all right.
Cheers

The only problem with the spacers is that they really are not safe. They will put stress on the studs and could break them and you could lose a tire. I've seen it happen befor.

Hey dirtrace49
You got me all worried now, dude. Really ,what are the chances of wheel breaking off if you use spacers?
I'd like to hear from some other members if they had any bad ( or good) experiences with spacers.
Thanx

I've got 5mm spacers on the rear, the studs haven't broken off yet, but give it time. Actually one broke on the front, but no spacers there.

The guy who fitted your tyres should have informed you that your wheels are 6" wide and there is too much tyre wall buldge fitting 205's onto 6" wide wheels. That would be your problem, too much bulge and tyre wall flex.
