I took it to a mechanic He said the injectors turn off? when when you give it alot of gas, like trying to pass around 5000-rmp (Only when at normal temp when its cold its fine) The person replace the
-
coil assy
dist cap
rotor
module
fuel filter
someone said low grade fuel mabe so I swiched to 91-94 octane
Im totaly lost on what to do now?
looking for some where near milwaukee to take it to get it fixed, if anyone knows that engine or someone who does.

This sounds the bogging issue that affects the SR20 that I've read about on other forums. I don't think it has ever been narrowed down to one thing and alot of the times people think they have fixed it but then it returns. Good luck with it

I'd be interested to hear if any other NX owners have the SR20 Hesitation problem...my old 92 Q had it and I learned to live with it...basically I gave up after trying every suggested fix.
But my NXR SR20 doesn't have the problem  (well not yet anyway).
so tell me...does your NX have the hesitation problem?
also....is the SR20DE in the NX the same as the SR20DE in the Pulsars?

g'day,
I bought my 92 NXR earlier this year and it had the bog down problem, only evident when driving grandpa style. They replaced the O2 Sensor and some other part, I can't remember now, and that appeared to fix it. The only problem I have is sometimes when I take off from scratch, the car does a big hesitate and surges to life.
Well, the only prob related to this :hitwall:

my prob is kinda like that but is very bad.+ differnt---- when floored it gets to about 5000rmp or so and just revs :chair: , almost like the trannys not letting go of first gear :arghhhhh: but only when the car is at normal temp. If I keep on the gas it will let off in 1-2 sec but woulnt go any when it does it. :help:
my car does have the bogging problem to add to and extra to the fuel problem.

It sounds as if the bogging problem is quite common...
Mine runs fine below 2000rpm, bogs down badly at around 2500 (actually slowing the car down) but once it hits 3000 screams into life and I take off like a rocket.
Someone mentioned O2 sensor which may make sense, I think its definately going to be something to do with air/fuel mixture
If anyone has a view on this I would love to hear it, trying to diagnose this myself to avoid mechanics for now

Another thread to look at: http://forum.nissanexa.com/showthread.php?t=14068
I summarised all the things mentioned in the 12 or so Pulsar.org pages (running for 2yrs!)... It is definitely a mystery (& an expensive one to find it seems).
