hey all
just purchased my 83 exa
i have a problem with it which seems to come and go
when it is there it gets worse slowly and when it is at its worse the car is real jerky up to about 3000 rpm and then there is no acceleration after that
i have tried many things and they all seem to fix it but then it comes back for a while
if anyone has some ideas id appreciate some feedback

you should do a search, this topic has been covered many times, i think there is a recent topic on it already..

it is yoru ecu wires, the connection between the wires and the ecu are real dodgy in the e15et so you have to give them a little jioggle when it happens, if yours are real bad you can get the ecu resoldered but not much people have done this.

I had the identical problem about a month ago! couldn't get past 2500-3000rpm in any gear. it turned out i've got a dodgy connection plug on my engine from the computer. the clip broke off and the plug works its way off after awhile. so a little duct tape fixed my problems.

then i had another jerky problem which turned out to be a dodgy fuel filter but i've since changed that and had no problems really with the car.
