uh-oh.... what's this?

i was tinkering around inside my dash today, seeing if i can rig up something to connect my ipod to the speakers, when i found this hanging loose....

any idea what it is?? the foam on the left surrounds a cylinder which is obviously a socket of some sort...

help?

It's for a stereo with diversity reception ( 2 antenna's). Your normal aerial lead plugs into the culinder and then the other is the second antenna which is at the top of your rear window.
