Can someone with chequer plate flooring please post a pic of it installed. Im doing this but I can't decide how to do it so it looks good. I wanna screw mine down. If I drill into the car floor can I possibly hit something beneath the floor and break it? What did yall do to attach it.

Velcro I used the valcro with the sticky stuff on the back and stuck it to the bottom of the checker plate, and the rough velcro hold to the carpet

Pft.. I tried screwing it today. Dont bother. Use velcro like I have now. The floor of the exa is not flat and is real thick with sound deadner. Velcro is easier.

I used velcro as well.. but my checker plates are not metal.. they were those plastic sort of material you can buy from supercheap or autobarn.. I found that its better to use those because you can bend them and shape them fully to the whole of the exa floor... both passenager and driver and the back seats... it looks really good and somewhat better than metal plus its a lot lighter...(less weight=performance).. hehe^^

Yeah but in theory they will do that too if your tint is darker than 35%. That rules most ppl on this club out, but they would have to be real pricks and i think i'd rip ot off if i did have an accident and throw em in the back.

im guessing the first thing your gonna think of if you have an accident is rip off yer chequer flooring :P

whats illegal both the metal and plastic? and why because of grip factor?

like with pedals have to be a certain % rubber or something?

after installing floor mats in a shitty car at work i found another way you can mount them. theres these little plastic screw things that dig into the existing carpet with a clip and you just punch a hole in what you want to mount and close the clip and it will hold it in place...

Man I ripped it off again. Gonna use it for making my boot/sub bit. It started to piss me off and was too slippery.

i hate slippery floors, after washing cars/engine bays at work and jumping in the cars its so bad with wet boots, i cant imagine what it'd be like to drive like that all the time...
