The post that I put up yesterday regarding this seems to have just dissapeared, so here goes...again.
I need a U12 CA18DET, if anyone knows where I can get one it'd be really appreciated. I live in Sydney. I've already rung a few places but they don't have them. So I dunno where else to go. Anyone work for any importing companies???

i got mine from the toy shop in newcastle, here is their number 49537277. they are f@#$%^ rare so youd be lucky to get one. Youll prbably have to order one, give these guys a ring though, they have heaps of engine packs and half cuts in stock

I re,ember posting a reply to this yesterday...and then it disappeared...anyway
there were two places in Sydney that had u12 CA18DET engines about 3 weeks ago (when I was seriously considering dropping one in)
Ichiban in Moorebank had one
Japanese Part P/L , 19-37 ?? Chadderton Rd, Lansvale (Sorry don't have their number). It is a big warehouse kind of place that you can't miss, they are open 7 days. I actually went to this place and saw the U12 engine, It had just arrived the day before. Engine was with accessories and Top mount I/C complete with piping and gearbox. Not a front cut though
They quoted me $1300 for the engine complete with IC - not a bad price. there was also an U11 engine available.
Also a place called Aviv ?? wreckers - 48?? Claremont, Greenacre. Front cut for $2500. A bit pricey though
Finally try JustJap at Kirrawee.
Good luck
Cheers

Thanx for the help guys, well appreciated.
EXR8D I already know ya car is for sale. I've been really considering giving ya a call about it and checking it out, you've done almost everything I want to do to my car. Only thing stopping me is that my car already has an excellent paint job (pearl white, green, pinkish red) and I don't really want to get rid of it for that reason. So unless I can or someone else can find me somewhere to get another good paint job done kinda cheap i'd probably just stick with my car at the moment. I don't really know how much I could sell my car for though if I wanted to. The engine needs a complete rebuild and it's unrego'd aswell, so yeh.
