Ok my current engine is stuffed and i want a ca 18de not turbo engine with less than 70,000 km on the clock. Im in adelaide rising sun imports quoted $1050 any one know of anywhere cheaper? pulsar parts are more expensive!!! Turbo sounds too much trouble in the long run with insurance and mechanical problems when you do high km

Mine's a standard 1.8 with quite a few K's on it.. runs purrrrfect though. I'd be willing to sell it for a lot less than $1,050 if you're interested.

daniel i know you dont wanna hear this but in the long run it would be better to get the pulsar parts guys to do it.

with something like that its not always "cheaper is better" At least with pulsar guys you know that they respect your car and will do the best job they can possibly do in it. cos they know that if they do a shit job that everyone wil lfind out, but if you go to just some random place they wont respect it and just do a quick job to get it out the way.

thanks for the offer nip007 but when i bought my car i was told the engine was reconditioned but it was a very dodgy back yard job with so things not done properly e.g bending the crap of the dust cover so it rattles not replacing spark plugs & timing belt forgetting to put in half of the gearbox mounting bolts and the list goes on currently i need at least on new hydarlic lifter which are $100 each and are fair bit of stuffing around after all ready spending money on the motor and more stuff going wrong i can no longer trust it for reliability so it has to go. As for pulsar parts they may do a good job but me and a friend are going to put it over a weekend sometime i should get photos so you can do a how to article. Anyway i think $1050 is not to bad most places wanted like 1500 - 1800 rip off!!!
