Wonderin if any one could give me the best setup on my soundsystem.. ie. amp frequency, volts, and pass filters.... just purchased sum more speakers and an amp.... i now have

Pioneer GM-X562 (Amp 300W 2 channel)
Pioneer GM-X564 (Amp 480W 4 channel)
Pioneer TS-W304C (12" Sub 600W)
Pioneer TS-A6955 (6x9's 220W 3-ways)
Pioneer TS-C1625 (Bullet Splits 220W)

my idea for this was to run the splits and 6x9's off the 4 channel amp... and run the sub solely on the 300W amp... is this the best way... and if any one has any ideas on the best setup.. i mainly listen to Rock, Metal, and dance (Tcehno & trance)

these amps have which i guess all amps have adjustable frequency ranges (60-120Hz), low and high pass filters and voltage ranges(i dont kno the ranges)

I dont kno much bout these components so yeah just wonderin if anyone can give me the perfect setup... and one last thing if anyone wants ta help me heaps... is the best wiring setup i should use....

cheers... and sorry bout ta long post

Hey dude

nice components, I love Pioneer gear.

I have a question though, what head unit r u going to run them all off, i.e. what model and make is it,

Basically once i find this out i can prolly give you an idea of how to setup ur system

ur best bet it to run the rear RCA pre-out to ur sub amp (best bet is the 300W - 2CH)

then run the front RCA to ur speaker amp (best bet 480W - 4CH)

set the filters on the 2CH amp to low pass - this means that it will block out the higher frequency sounds, and send pure bass sounds to ur subs.

set the filters on the 4CH amp to high pass - this means it will block out the majority of the lower frequency sounds, stops sending bass to ur tweeters on both sets of speakers.

when it is finally setup the only way to set any of the frequencies on the amps will be to get someone to do them by ear, you cant tell someone what should be a good frequency cos u run the risk of it actually wrecking the speakers, subs and amps themselves.

the only problem you will have will be that ur entire rear will be sub only and ur front will be speaker only, so ur fader will only work between the subs and the speakers.

also the only other thing you will need will be a set of RCA splitters, this can change an normal 2CH RCA cable to become a 4CH RCA cable, and i only suggest you do this because you will be getting a 3 RCA pre-out HU at a later date, once you get that you will only need to buy another RCA cable and wire it up and you will be in business properly.

if you have any problems with setting this up, email me (yoda@nex.net.au) or pm me, and ill help you as much as i can.

the only thing u need to remember is that 9 times out of 10 u need to actually see what you are doing, and where the problems
