Hi guys, I just bought an NXR and I'm missing the door sticker which says what tyres i'm supposed to have on it.

It came with the stock alloys, but i have 3 x 185/60/R14's and 1x 195/60/R14, and a 185/60/R14 as the spare (worn out).

According to the exa info page, it says the NXR came out with 195's, can someone verify this? Or read out their australian door sticker for me?

Thanks

Hey there,
Standards on the sticker: 185/60/14 or 195/55/14

Welcome to the forum mio :waver:

As far as I know you shouldn't mix sizes as they claim you are more likey to go into a spin. I think it's ok to have say 185's on both fronts and 195's on both rears. Maybe ask at a tyre store for their advice.

NXT51, does that mean there are both sizes on the sticker?

the main reason i'm asking is that i'm going to pass roadworthy test, i don't think a lower width tyre than stock is legal.

this also goes for insurance where lower rated tyres then stock may render your insurance void?

haha so many Nxs come with the wrong tyres?!

Mine came with 2x 195/55R15s on the rear and a 205/65R15 on the left front, right front is a 205/60R15 and the spare is a 195/55R15

Arghhhhhhhhh

Being too lazy to go and check the sticker on my car, and having just packed my manual into a box (moving up to Box Hill) I remember that one (the front?) is 195s, the rear is 185s, I don't know why, and it's hella more expensive to buy 195s.

Where abouts in Melbourne are you based Mio?

He he he - yep well I think I had two diff sizes too but all 5 tyres were even different brands!!!!!!!!!

Hey mio yep - the sticker has both those sizes. As I said in that other thread you can change your wheels/tyres within a certain range. I have tyres that are 20.5cm wide (with my 17" wheels) - a bit wider than the ol' 19.5 or 18.5cm. If you contact your Dept of Transport they'll be able to give you the possible spread of sizes that can legally fit on your car!

Yeh Mekros - drivable but if his avatar is the car then it looks pretty f***ed wouldn't you say??

yeah, a cruise will be great, my damage is all fixed now and chassis is 100% straight so no problems, just trying to find parts from wreckers (any ideas in melbourne?) slap it in, and i'll be driving easy!

someone arrange for a melbourne cruise?

sorry for off-topic, thx nxt51 for reading the sticker. :heehee:
