Leaky targa (got me stuffed!)

Ok i fixed my leaky seals at my doors with a few globs of sillicone hehhe and that works fine, but when it rains heavy, my interior light fills up with water and i cant figure out how the hell water is getting in i cant see any gaps anywere where the water could be coming from so has anyone got any ideas?!?!?!

under teh targas ... ther are a few small holes, used for draining the water from the roof .....
check they are not blocked !!

some / all of the holes, contain a rubber hose taking the water to the exit part ( under the car ) where the wanter runns away,
maybe one has split..
if so.. i have no idea how to fix that ..... but check that they are not blocked, for now :alien1:

but mine leaks as well if its heavy rain for a long period of time my driver seat and passengers seat get pretty dam wet

and then the stentch of dead water in the seats for bout 5days

mine leaks from where the targa ends meets the A piller and the window ..water runs from there and drips .. i noticed somtimes if i put the window down and then up a few times it slows the drip down but it still leaks :confused:

the actually leaky targas dont piss me off that much its just the smell the water leaves behind shits me.

hahaha yeah well surprisingly, i dont get any water stench!! so i dunno just lucky i guess hehehe the thing that pisses me off is that ill come out 2 my car in the mourning, accelerate in 1st and get a lovely shower across my shoulder as a full interior light cup of water pours across me hehehe pisses me off and starts my day in a bad mood hehehe

i had mine blown out because mine were leaking too.
nissan will do it for you.
they charge bugger all and they wash your car for you while they are at it.
replacement targas, brand new, are $345 per side.
not cheap, however they are brand spankers and you wont have any probs with them.
also if cash is tight you can do one side at a time.

hey if u have an air compressor, blow air into the drain holes, if u dont have one take it to any workshop and they will b able to do it 4 u.

and the comments on "its suppoed to leak", thats shit! there are heaps of exas out there that dont leak! even with new zealand's rain!
