G'day guys

I've just bought clear front and side indicator lenses for my nx-r, now i really want clear tail lights to complete the look, being charcoal the clear lights look so much better than the orange.

does anyone know where you can get clear tail lights for the nx, in australia or elsewhere???

Theres about 3 or 4 NX in the entire world i know of with clear tail lights, all of which are custom made jobs. There is always talk of people making some up in the USA but its just talk.

What you would need to do is heat up the stock tails to remove the red/orange plastic pieces, then get a urethane mold made of them and then cast them with some sort of clear polyester resin. A plastics company would know what to do, but it would cost easily $500-600 per side if not more. The most expensive part is making the moulds so if you organised for lots of people all over the world to buy them it may be worthwhile.

Where abouts did you get the clear fronts from, and are the clear sides just VT-VY commodore ones? Just curious...

The Pulsar boys use Commo clear side indicators, but does anyone know if they'd fit B13's? N14's have a shorter squarer lense compared to our long oval shaped ones.
The Commo ones are about $30-40 from the wreckers including the orange bulb :)

I've been told they fit with a little modification of the housing - I think Steve (SickNX) has used them on his car. My brother has a VR... they look like they would fit.

Like NXoholic_Gurl said you need to use silicon to attach them. I've done this mod to my car since my last post... worth doing especially if you can get your hands on the clear front lenses as well.

Ouch, 369 Euro is about AUS$620, not including postage down here.

I guess something is better than nothing though.
