View Full Version : How much Brake Fluid do I need?

Hey Ladies & Gents,

Planning on flushing the brake lines and replenishing with some good grade brake fluid. Only question is (since the farken book doesn't specify!) how many litres of brake fluid would I require?

Anyone that has done this lately?
I have the bleed kit and everything, just need to know how much I need!!

You won't need litres... generally all u need is a small bottle of it, which is around 600ml usually. Its pretty cheap so i'd grab two to be honest with you, if u plan on flushing the rears u'll need it.

If you can get Valvoline Synthetic Fluid in Australia, I would get 3 bottles tops. Of get one big 32 Ounce (946ml) bottle. That should be more than enough.

Yeah I'm planning on doing the front and rears at the same time.
Doing it soon as I'm going to do a rotor/pad swap at the same time..
I'm just trying to source rotors right now.

DIDZ, how soon do you need the rotors? I might be able to help if you can wait 2 weeks.

i got prices (approx)for bendix kings -$100 (fronts and rear seperate)
shit ass power max- $30 (fronts and rear seperate)
rotors DBA $90-$100 each (fronts and rear seperate)
Rotors cross drilled DBA $230 each (fronts and rear seperate)
oh and i can get 25% of these prices :thumbsup:

Champ, I would get the Bendix, the PowerMax are SHITHOUSE. Had them on my old lancer, they bit for the first week and they were terribly shit after that.

I'm looking at the DBA Slotted Rotors w/ prices from discpads.com.

Can somebody confirm if the codes are:
- DBA901 $128
- DBA902 $110

I remember somebody having diffiiculties with the rear rotors, may have been tissue.
