pretty simple-hehe
take the two nuts off the where the wiper arms attach...
take the short one from the drivers side and put it on the passenger side...set it on so it is up just under one third up and put on a 24" blade.
check the pattern of wipe by using wipers...when you have what you want ...voila.
if you want to add a cool look....before you put on that short arm sand/strip off the black paint and underneath is stainless steel!
looks awesome...i do it to all my pulsie/exa's.
also the trim around the windows...ie... at the windshield and the t-roof's if you take off the black paint, underneath is stainless too...i did it many years ago and it looked keen!

will it wipe both sides tho? i would have thought that u would ha to reposition the motor so it wipes differently with a larger sweep

without making up u beaut linkages to make it level out mid screen then go back to a ark it won't clean the screen as well as it did
if this doesn't bother u then go for it

nah its completely legal providing that your wiper can clean 3 quarters of the window, hence the 24inch blade, make sure that you colour it jet black as it is not legal for wipers to be any colour other than jet black

Hey,
*Pputs the silver paint back down....* damn - you seriuos? Silver wipers look cool! And yeah - unless you make up some nice little linkages - its not gonna give the results your (or the rta) require... Merc's have single wippers, but the ycam like that and they have been developed like that. Ie, they wipe more than 80% of the windscreen...

ya with the 24" blade it does get most of the windshield...misses the bottom corners though...if you can deal with it...the only problem i have encountered is when driving in the rain all the water comes around the side of the driver's window
and runs just above the mirror...kinda sux if you like the window open a bit on a rainy day-hehe
boostinhard...
why break out the "jew chrome" when you can just polish the stainless under neath...i think it looks cool too.
as for merc's...if you have ever seen the way it works it's pretty cool...it's got a pivot point but it also follows a sorta square pattern like the windshield itself...now that would be a cool pulsie/exa upgrade-hehe

you would need to accurately measure and fabricate metal links, so if ur confident, and have the right tools, go for it! then post up the measurements for the rest of us!! :D

i work for bmw and the car that easily depicts wat im saying would be a e39 5 series(the latest model)
the centre wiper arm on these cars has two pivot points
which if this car had a single wiper like "some" not all mercs it would work like this
arc flatten out slightly then arc again
therefore making a half oval on the screen reaching all of wat a single wiper would do
don't kid ureself it'd cost alot to make such a thing sdue to the engineering
and who really wan'ts a single wiper?
obviously alot of you here but it just looks plain silly
leave it to the super tourers
who by the way just leave the drivers side wiper off and run a centre one lol
so if they do it like that why don't u?
ttrix has the most cost effective and easy 10 minute solution
keep it standard on weekdays and "single" for shows

hey i tried it on my mums car, and in 5 minutes it was done!
just unbolt both wipers, reposition the centre one, it will be towards the middle of the screen but more on the passenger side, then bolt it there and test, if it goes over the side of the windscreen just adjust!
it worked really well and i liked it, howvevr, no one else did and mum made me change it back :nasty:
it took 2 mins to change back! its SO DAMN EASY!
when i get the exa i will definately do it ;)

boostinhard...
i am not too familiar(actually not at all-hehe) with the n12's but all i know is the n13's have stainless underneath...you could always grab one of an n13 and see if it fits...

I have been there, done that. I did my conversion a few years ago.......still have to profect it though. I have it sitting in the centre of the windscreen but it doesn't wipe the entire screen yet. I have been meaning to do that for the past few years but never got around to it.
