i built a custom sliding tray for my floor of my boot, the subs are bolted to this floor, when i want 2 put my roof in storage i fold the back seat down, slide the tray and the subs onto the back seat, then put my roof in, slide it all back over the top and put my rear seat up.... if i was travelling any distance id use it more, but throwing em on the backseat for short trips works well :)

Personally i dont like xplode subs
when i was buying some subs i checked em out
I ended up going for 12" Kenwood Tornado's
Compared to the xplode, these kenwoods sounded much more clearer, crispy clear infact
Sony is a good brand, but they really should stick to Decks, Cd Changers and amps
car speakers isnt their sort of thing
But then again some people beg to differ :)

My last car hage a huge boot so i was unrestricted to the size of the sub so i got a lightning audio 15incher. i've left the rear seat in the exa and when i take the targe off i fold the seat down slide the amp and sub forward lift up the flap put the targa in and move everything back.

"just wondering where to put the subs in the n13 exa?"
I made a custom sealed box that sat in the boot pressed up against the back of the back seat. I then made a new false floor (6mm MDF) that sat above the spare wheel but below the targa storage bit. This way I could get the targas in and out without moving the subbox or the false floor.
This was for a 10inch sub and has an area of .8 cubic feet or 22.7 cubic litres. Amp actually sat flushmount of the box which meant moving the sub to the side. (not shown in pic)
Couldn't put luggage on top, but I don't really take the roof off if I had alot of luggage in the boot. Small luggage can go in the backseat.
All up took me about 6month to perfect it. Iv'e got heaps of pics but they are all too big. let me know if you want me to email them to you or you want more info.

Got my 12 inch Type S in a 1.15cubic foot box velcro-ed to the carpet behind the back seat. ITs pretty stable and can be sumtimes difficult to pull off. I still have room for my targas too. Can show pix if intersted .

I second getting rid of the back seat...

But don't make a slot loaded enclosure like this, aim the subs backwards or forwards.
Second, don't go cheap on anything, start with mid-range equipment, save yourself time and money and be satisfied with the results...

I beg to differ completely. They're not good at car audio. Not for an enthusiest like myself anyways. Their decks are all for show, SQ is shot to hell. Waaaaay overpriced for what you get. Their speakers blow up (fall apart) way to early too. Amps overheat. Although, if I were forced to buy something, I would pick an amp, lol.
I used to have 2 12" Kenwoods, running at 150w per sub (300 w total) offa Kenwood 600w max amp. I thought it sounded great. Then they got stollen. For my next system I ended up w/ Eclipses. WOW! is all I gotta say. If ya look into getting some new subs sometime, spend a little bit more and get yourself some eclipses. You won't be let down :)
