the future holds various plans from exhaust, lowering, new rims, maybe turbo but needs new engine for that, pod, scoop and cut outs, custom bodykit, quad throttle body, pretty much everything and anything that i can get my hands and mind around.

i took some pics on my mates digi camera yesterday so i'll try and get those today or soonish to post up.

boostin- i've had my eye on your car for a little while on your site. i was wondering if you have updated pics of your baby?

Chaotic
21st April 2003, 12:39 AM
sorry boostin i was also wondering about your pod and cai + heat shroud is that constructed of thin ply wood? or something? and im assuming the scoop you have leads straight into that box? is it all sealed or a little bit left to breath in case of scoop sealage...?

Hey,
shields are made out of thin Alluminium sheet. those pics on htat site are pretty old - I'll chick some new ones up in the next couple of days as we now have a digi cam again... The "scoop" for my cooler is just like a funnel around my cooler which forces more air through it. My CAI is just a bit of hose going from the bump to the neck of the pod filter. The shield isnt air tight, but with the air comming from around teh headlight area and from the CAI hose, that should allow it to breathe easy...

yeh i think i saw the pics of your cooler funnel.

my next steps probally gonna be a CAI but i still dunno how i wanna design it. with a scoop or vents, or how the N13s do it with the hose down the wheel arch area?

hey nisman,
yeah it was for sale in the paper about a year ago, so you live in forster, whats your name, you should come into port for a few laps and few drags one night. yes a newy cruise sounds mad, whos your mate that saw my car

Nisman
22nd April 2003, 05:34 PM
Paul langley is my name... should have put that above.
glenn griffin is the guy with the exa i was talking to, he said he had seen the car around and that it looked sweet.

should have my car tuned within the next month, so straight after that i will come for a cruise to port with a few mates from forster, and maybe an exa club cruise to newy or something.

wow guys

well here goes

im steve

engine:
dont know alot about the actual engine apart from that i think it is an 87 et unleaded
i have t28 turbo
front mount cooler
pod filter
oh and my engine is half blue and half yellow but whoever painted it used the wrong paint for sure (not sure if that will make my car faster or not hehe)

and apart from that i just feel embarrassed now after reading about what all you guys have.

plans for the future are to have like half the shit sammy has id be happy with that

oh and one question why does everyone seem to have a vl throttle body and is that a vl commodore ???

steve

Nisman
1st May 2003, 12:43 PM
cause it is about 10mm bigger diameter (or was it 20???)
and it bolts straight up to the e15 manafold.
whether it is of benefit is much debated, but hey its a cheap easy mod.

Whats a good price for a red rocker cover e15et. this is what pulsar parts is offering.

Hi,
We will have a couple of Red rocker cover motors soon, they get sold bare and are on exchange, so if you don't have a change over motor you would have to pay a penalty. It does not come with a turbo or any manifolds either. The price is $1850 c/o.

Regards
Mark

Nisman
2nd May 2003, 02:00 AM
u prob should have started a new thread for this, but anyways, 1850 is way too much, ring importers around sydo or adelaide jap and you can get them for 1300 with turbo etc.
it is debateable if its worth even bothering.

chaos, i actually mean whether it is worth spending the extra to get the rrc motor. Nobody really has any proof that they are more powerful, and running off the standard aussie computer it wont run much better than a brc.

adam, great to see everyone is putting in finally!
i liked your cant affords - 1.6lt twin cam head, this would be a full custom thing because there isnt one that will fit, so like a few grand!!:help:
bored to 1.8, to get to 1.7 litre you need to stroke it using the e16 crank, then bore 80 thou over (2mm)
if you went any further you will have problems with the sleve thickness, heat and cracking.
:hitwall:

i love exas, nothing is cheap or easy on them!
