Anyone with the N12 done a magna brake conversion? Looking at doing it when I get back home, and considering the legality of it. From the looks of it, itll stop on a dime with DBA slotted all round and some good shocks!

Ive read all the research on n12turbo.com and gonna do it when I get back! Come round next year and we'll discuss mods aye!! Oh yeh, time to drop a proper E15 into your car mate :D then you'll really need to upgrade the brakes!

yeh i wanna drop a new engine in. get some real e15et and a decent turbo and cooler.
but cause of work and buying tools im not even planning on that for another year or so. probally all i'll get done in next year or so is pod, scoop, maybe rims and exhaust. needs new shocks so might get lowered at same time.

i put the et disks on the back of mine, changed to the et master cyl and all the brake lines, stops a million times better. Also i put kevlar pads in my mates car and it stops rediculously quick, its hard to stop it locking up.
i cant really warrant all the money it would take to put the magna brakes on, et disks, and a decent set of pads like metal king or kevlar pad are more than enough.
although that is my opinion, i am tight when it comes to things that dont make the car quicker.
chaos, how much does apprentice wage suck!!
i used to clear 190 with and hours over time each day. by the time i paid board, fuel and bought lunches, i had nothing.
i worked a second job to afford a tool kit!

yeh im pulling like $210 a week with overtime! but this fortnights gonna be harsh on me cause of all the public holidays and stuff and lack of overtime.
i'm doing alright so far bought a 9 drawer box, 3/8" + 1/4" socket set, and some 1/2" impacts and a 1/2" racket and some metric spanners and then some other cheap screw drivers and random stuff.

Sounds like my uni days, pulling $800 a month if lucky!!
I had my ET fading after 3 hard stops, and the boost was normal back then, with metallic pads. But the ET has solid disks which are crap. The magna setup could be got for under $100 if you go private wreckers. Some DBA disks would be nice tho and a caliper service, youre looking at probably $400 or so....would make it stop like a sack of shit!! Im gonna do it when I get back...
