Air filter

How bad is it to run your car without an air filter? I took mine out and damn I loved the sound of the engine, you could just hear the air being sucked in every time you hit the gas :love:

Also what kind of HP gains do you think I got from this? Im guessing no more than 5, because I certaintly didn't feel a difference.

Hey its fine to do that.. cept if your car sucks up dirt and water without a filter it'll fuck your engine. So don't godown gravel roads and no goin through big puddles. lol.

Hey,
make your inlet as free flowing as possible (large smooth bends) and put a really good filter on the end and you will get the same noise and almost the same amount of power. A good filter does not restrict the airflow that much and you are looking at a hp drop of like 1-2hp... Not worth it considering your engine would have a life expectancy of a snail at a tapp dancing carnival...
