you'll have to take it to a mechanic with the proper rquipment to fix it it'll cost you bout $150au i think but it may be cheaper, not the sort of thing you can do on your own... call your local nissan dealer they'll be able to tell you where to get it done

if your mech inclined you can do it yourself...talk to your hubbie and offer him something...
it is quite simple actually but it requires a creeper, jack, stands, pliers, and a X-head screwdriver + 10 and 12mm sockets...as long as you have some patience-hehe

My mum had a sim prob in her N13 nissan Vector, she would be backing out the driveway and be doing 80kays, she took it to an auto electy and got a new insrtument display fitted problem fixed $250 latter.

the speedo on the exa is cable driven so your problemis either the cable the speedo itself or the drive gear in the gearbox as for reading different at hot days its got me buggered

i would remove instrument cluster and go for a drive and see that cable spins freely then i would take speedo to get calibrated if cable is ok

I've a problem with mine sometimes reading accurately, and other times it shows up to 10km/h faster than I'm travelling. It seems to bounce at times when Im slowing down at lights, and can tell its the position of the needle stuffing up when it settles at 10km/h on idle etc. - I think my problem is caused by the back of the needle being worn out and it slips & catches sometimes on whatever turns it. Going to pull it out and inspect the back, replace with a small bead of silicon & see if it fixes the problem.
