ca will fit, however its gunna cost a lot.
firstly the conversion... engine mounts have to be changed, you will need an adaptor to fit you gear box to the motor, or custom drive shafts to fit yours to the ca gearbox.
thent here is the weight issue. The ca is significantly heavier than the e15 so you will need to fully redo front suspension.
when il ooked into this, both rocco's and v&e rigoli said they had seen et's they had done lift the back wheels under heavy braking cause of the crappy weight distribution with the stock suspension.
for what it would cost you could work the e15 with forgies, blueprinted, etc......
and... put a bigger turbo, and aftermarket ecu.
just something to think about.

im gonna spend a few grand
i wanna work the e15et but looking around at other engine prices, im thinking of putting another engine in
My suspension is stuffed as it is
once i do it, im gonna go all out and get some killah suspension
but spending a few grand on the e15et, wont neccessarily get me as much hp as a ca18det stock (comfortably)
without constantly doing damage would it ?
hrrrm i dunno
ill look into it more

Hey
I think its safe to say that the E15et is the way to go, cheap mods, doesn't wreck the integrity of the car weight, handling etc. you look at any ET/EXA doing fast times..... E15ET. If you have sum crazy cash.. $20,000 or so, you could do it properly, but it would only ever be good as a hardcore straightline car, handling would be f^$k*d!
thats what i've gathered about the issue:p

you can also get a ca 20
a GA16 twin cam but depending on where you live sr20det is to many up grades and they dont allow it however you can put in a sr20 de at the most

Okay... now, how about a rotary? :devilhapp
What would you need aside from custom bellhousing and engine mounts? A stronger 'box?

Just do up the e15et mate.... Cheaper/ easier / and yeah weight is a big problem.
You will run into all sorts of dramas just getting the set-up right let alone making huge amounts of horsepower...
Spend $5000 on the e15et and she'l run 13's all day

Someone on pulsar.org.au put a U13 SR20DET into an N12.
It was a very tight fit.
I don't have the links to the thread.

I'll join the masses and say a worked E15et would be the best all rounder for hp and weight. SR's and CA"S will fit and haull arse but just think even the E15 is capable of mashing a std box so i'd be wary. Plus its half the fun doing R&D and making something go a hundred times faster than the manufacturer intended. Do a full race style build with good pistons get it balanced etc don't skimp on it and you will end up with a fast little car and if after all that your not happy use a shot of giggle gas. lol hehehe hhahahaha hoohooo weeeeeeeeeee. cough, cough eeerrm maybe just use it in the car he he.
