Might be an idea to post the discounted price we get for buying through OzKits. I was just curious, do we get a reciept from OzKits or OP/JS for bodykit purchases?
MrBoom
8th August 2005, 12:24 PM
receipts are available if need be through me..
but wont serve much purpose as i am aware of who is buying kits off me, and keep records.. so if there are any faults on delivery, it will still be covered by warranty..
but once you have ur kit, and recieved it from courier.. then its out of my hands, and there pretty much isnt any warranty, unless something is wrong like its buckled and wont fit or something..
and those are the discount prices..
cheaper than JS, and you will still be recieving the exact same kit! so your obviously better off going through Ozkits..
also, group buys will be allowed through me, obviously discounts wont be huge, but possibly between $900-$950.. if there are a few bought at once..

i think he is saying to post the price from jetspeed direct then post the price of how much we get them for to show how much you are saving :) cheers mitch
MrBoom
10th August 2005, 12:18 AM
alright, done now :)
the R.R.P. is how much you would pay if you got it direct from Jetspeed or Online..

What about those vector side skirts some people have - they look fully sick and fir with a little modification (i've heard)
MrBoom
10th August 2005, 12:38 AM
lol ur talking about "vertex"
yeh, they arent ready made yet man, and actually, as far as i am aware, no-one has actually completed it, only talked about it..
but yes, there are a few people collaborating on the boards about some custom kits.. but be warned, they are going to be sold for a fair bit more than this, and might not be widely sold, because some people involved in getting them made up, dont want heaps of people to have them..
Moh
10th August 2005, 05:21 PM
What are the custom one's Seggy has (in his bodykit thread) that can be modded to fit EXA's. Are those vectors maybe? How much are those? Can you get a discount on them?
MrBoom
10th August 2005, 05:34 PM
lol, there is no such thing as "vector"..
its "vertex"
the one seggys has, i dont even know what they are called, but i think they are modded off a tx3..
i can get a discount on them, but they need a car there to modify them onto.. so its a pain in the ass..
if there is a big demand for it, ill sort something out for yas, but as of yet, i havnt had anyone ask for them..
plus they are more expensive.. i would be selling them for around $330..
jonnyexa
11th August 2005, 05:40 PM
If you can get th side skirts seggy has i'd been keen to get alot and im sure there is alot of other people after them as well.
MrBoom
11th August 2005, 05:44 PM
show some interest people, if you would like some skirts like seggy has on his car..
if there are a few of you, ill take deposits, and get how ever many sets you would like made up..
MrBoom
14th August 2005, 01:13 AM
so there isnt any interest in the "custom" skirts seggy had on his car??
Moh
14th August 2005, 08:43 AM
Not for the price at the moment. I'll be interested next year, but I'm going overseas at the end of the year so have to be vigilant with my cash.
SeGGy
14th August 2005, 04:44 PM
the reason why i sold my skirts was coz they're shit
the normal jetspeed ones are much better
go up the side of the car and flare
MrBoom
16th August 2005, 01:58 AM
i must say, the skirts designed for the exa are much nicer than the ones that seggs had on his car..
the ones on my car(the red car in the pics at the top) are rather stylish infact, go very will with the front bar, and rear bar.. pics dont do them justice..
i would definately prefer to pay less, for something that looks better, and fits straight onto the exa..
if you were going to spend more money, to get something customized, ide get the standard JS exa skirts modified, to have bigger kickups on either end.. so it reaches the sidestrips..

Jetspeed offers a kit here in the US over in California. If you get the stuff from Oz shipping will be VERY expensive. In the end it would probably cost the same or less to have something modified or custom made here in the states than to have it shipped from Australia. I have looked into this, as I wanted some of the stuff myself and it's just to much for shipping.

Been trying to avoid this, but I'm sure it's been said before, fibreglass = failure. It was/is the biggest mistake in my financial and automotive choices. And that money I had spent on it, I would have preferred to have spent on carbon fibre. Which I am saving up for now. Yes, it is more expensive, but the constant repairs, and the fact that a major break is unrepairable, in the long term costs more. And the paint chips... So many paint chips. But that wasn't an issue really, each time I went to repair a bar they repainted it anyway. Every hidden pot hole, every larger speed bump, every fold out chair that falls off the back of a truck, rocks laying on the road, accidentally mount a gutter, accidentally mount an animal, accidentally kick, drops tools on, remove and push along concrete, asshole sloped drive way, blah blah blah = dollars out of your pocket.
And just as a note, my car is 140mm off the ground. 40 mm under the limit.
Also it's less fun. Before I got my kit I remember hitting a bunny (lived in a very rural area, just cant help it some times. And some times I just cant help myself), and since my car was low to ground it went under, bounced around underneath, gaining momentum, and then I saw it shoot out upwards from under the car, in the rear view mirror. I would NEVER gain such entertainment with a fibre glass body kit.
DISCLAIMER: I do not harm animals intentionally, the farmers have a hard time with kangaroos and rabbits, and kangaroos arent really fun to hit.

I had it fitted properly. With actual professionals and money. Well, it wasnt fitted with money... or professionals. That would just be awkward. And I think its illegal. But it would be kinda cool to have a guy mounted as your front bar. Someone to talk to when you get lonely.
