anyone here know anything about 3d modeling ??? i know a little bit of 3d studio max and autodesk inventor. i am thinking of trying (and i must emphasise TRYING) to make a full 3d (exterior) model of a nissan exa n13. that way spoilers and wings and shit could be shown allot easier then using photoshop and stuff, you just have to set up angle and walla it will be on. has anyone else tried this. if i do it will take a fair bit of time but you know if it works out will be worthwhile doing its.
what you all think???

I'm a keen 3D modeller. But i blossomed late. I remember in year 11 i saw a cadd program hit our school's computer. As soon as i saw it the thing totally blew me away. From then on i taught myself to use the program because even still the design teachers there had no great knowledge of the program. Even once i considered myself to be better than my design teacher at the program. It's called Rhinoceros 3D, and was even used in the making of the Spiderman film!!! So it's no small program that's crappy, let me tell you now. Infact, it's much easier to use than 3DS Max!!! All in all i've been learning this program for roughly 2 years now and have created somewhat masterpieces, lol. Here's a recent sample of my work, which is my Turbosmart Type II Blow off valve i created to scale. Blink if you have to, hehe.
I pretty much design my own blow off valves too, and at the moment i'm building my PS2 to scale into Rhino, should look a treat once it's rendered. If you'd like to know more or team up to create, send me an email to this address: n12exa@hotmail.com
I'm on msn if you prefer.

Well because i've been working with Rhino for 2 years it only took me about 3 hours to create and fully render. It was actually quite easy.
I have a few rendered images lying around my PC somewhere. Unfortunately i got rid of most of them a while ago when i didn't have a decent rendering package.
Here's a better image of the BOV that i found on my PC. Makes it look much better huh!

Here's something that will also rattle your bones. I got bored one day and modelled my Pioneer DEH-1350 CD face. Took 6-7 hours in total.

I don't know how i'd go making cars, they're pretty hard actually. If you'd like to see something created though, give us a holler. I hope you like these images.
