hey, i was just wondering why is there a limit on pictures you can post in a single post?
is it possible for the multimedia section to be exempt from that rule?
just a thought.

I rekon thats a bad idea cause then people could cut loose and spam a thread full of pics and people would be waiting for ever...

but you already wait forever when you post 50 times in your own thread to show the pictures... it is after all 'multimedia' section... ahh well, doesnt worry me too much, just had to cut a few posts thats all.

I agree its a good idea, I had to split a post earlier with pics of my XY...
The multimedia section afterall is dedicated to posting of pictures/video etc... people should expect that any thread in that section would have some kind of media download involved...
And if you're on dialup n you see stacks of image placemarkers come up n your not really interested you jjust press back

It was in place when we started so that it wouldn't be harsh on dialup users.. as most people these days here aren't on dialup anymore, I might remove the limit altogether...
I can't do it for individual forums without hacking the code, so if I do it, it'll be for the whole forum... if anyone disagrees, yell out now, or forever hold your peace! (and piece) ;)

Nah, I'd prefer not to haxor the code yet, as I hate re-hacking for new versions of this software every friggin time we upgrade...
The new version of vBulletin coming up supports that kind of code hacking a bit more, but I'd have to look into whether there'd be a spot to ad code for what we need... either way, the size of the hacking needed versus the net result of the hack, really makes it not worth it... we may as well revert to allowing unlimited images in all posts in all forums, which is exactly what I've just done...
So in other words... wish granted...

on this topic is there away 2 stop the limit of images 1 user can post up so i dont have 2 keep deleting post pictures 2 add new 1s cause there is so many post out there with no pictures in them no longer because of having 2 do this or make the max limit on the pictures higher

because uploading the pictures uses this site, it makes it more expensive to run, its easier to upload it to a free web host place, like imageshack.com or something.

exactly... if everyone on here had 3-4MB of pics or more, we'd be broke...
