downunderNX: there are no pics of the NX kit in the white gel coat, because they havent been made yet, they havnt even been sent off yet.. for pics of what the kit will look like painted.. check out http://forum.nissanexa.com/showthread.php?t=25050 (its the Jetspeed gear)... the NX kit does come in white gelcoat also, but when i said before that its a nice white finish, i mean it, but also, its kinda hard to explain, but when they cap the end of the bars, to make the wheel arch section and stuff, they have to sand it, so there is a darker coloured line there and stuff, where the gel coat has been sanded off..
what i mean is, for a temporary kind of thing, on a white car, its good, cause it wont stick out so much, will look similar to the rest of the car, but ultimately, you would be best to paint it..

ill be receiving however many i order in a 40ft container in februaru-mid february.. so eveyrone who puts a deposit down, and completes payment will have their bars by the end of feb, or early march.. there wont be any waiting list for the bars.. its just pack send, pack send..
but thats why i need deposits and number for this..
im looking at $50 deposits from everyone..
because i will be outlaying well over $1000 before the bar is even sent to china.. so i need to know that there are people who DEFINATELY want one..

but its less likely to crack or break, as opposed to the normal fibreglass bars..

and yes, its exactly the same as the Online performance bar, but is higher quality, and made out of the flexi fibreglass, and lets not forget, its $200 below rrp.. almost 50% off..

and the term for the material they use to make the bar bend and shit is called Poly Carbonated Plastic

Peugeot 307 -407 and 206 have them on there bumpers and the 307 have them on the front left and right guards

because french drivers in paris like to dodge cars bak and forward to get into parking spaces so peugeot make there cars with poly carbonated panels so when u hit it, it will bounce back out leaving no dents on the panel

cheap to replace and cheap to manufact

EDIT: also if someone reversing bak into u in a parking lot and hit urs bumper it will absorb the impact and then come out and the likelyness of the paint being damage is close to zero

very very very hard to crack these bars .....

like i said before it is way more cheaper to replace / fix than a fiber glass kit or for peugeot sense metal panels

about the NX kits, they will be the same as the OP bar, i.e. same material, same finish, white gelcoat, needs to be sanded and primed for paint..
if i get some deposits within the next 2 weeks, about $300 per deposit..
and they will come back in february, ready to be picked up, or posted..

thanks mate i notice it when the bar was bent .... if any one wants to know what these bars feel like go to your local peugeot dealership and put ur knee into the 307 front right and left guard and u will see how it bounces bak

the finish on the poly carbonate i reackon is better than the finish on a fibre glass

yeh the finish on these bars will be 10 times better than any jetspeed kit you have ever seen..
but i have been lead to believe that these bars are still fibreglass, but they use a new technology resin, which allows flex, rather than cracking, so i believe it will still be made out of chop sheet glass.. but will have the new resin used..

nx2die: it says that the kits are similar to mfx technology, and im guessing that the pics of are of mfx technology. but thats just what i understood of it. so i dont think it will be to the same extend, just a more flexible fibreglass than usual. which in any case, is still magic in my eyes :)

so its still flexible(as shown in pics), and is still fibreglass..

yeh, that white bar picutred is the rear for a 180sx, vertex style, its just a sample of the quality of the products..

and yes, the kit would be exactly the same as the jetspeed kit, ill be getting it replicated over in china, if there is enough interest, and deposits..

fibre glass or not fibreglass the selling point of these kits are that it bends absorbs impact then bends back to its normal shape .... and is a hell lot cheaper to manufactor .... i am in for sure for this kit but unfortunitly i dont have the cash on me right if u want a 50 buck deposit now and i can pay the rest when it comes i will do that but not the whole thing

ok now I might have missed this and I'm not trying to be inflammatory, just asking :) Why are front bars from a brand new mould that is still to be made, using new technology fibreglass, lots cheaper than the ones that are already produced by Jetspeed etc. from an existing mould? Surely if it's a new technology fibreglass etc. it would be more expensive?

What are the guarantees of fit etc. Buying almost $300 worth of product from some mate in China is not exactly a 'peace-of-mind' purchase... Also these parts are likely to be useless to average joe-blo but have you got insurance for bringing this stuff in through the wharves? (nasty stories of wharfies stealing :))

ok..
i have gotten a new supplier, who doesnt manufacture ANYTHING in australia.. he sends back and forth 40ft containers between here and china.. reason they are cheaper is because everything is cheaper over there, supplies and labour.. the new technology doesnt affect price for you guys, only for me. if i got these manufactured in regular fibreglass i could have gotten them to sell for aobut $230.. so there is a difference in price, but yeh, its not really affecting you guys, only me and my supplier.. and its just more worth while switching to the new glass..

garuantee of fitting is the same as online performance, and jetspeed.. there will always need little modifications to make sure they fit exactly, thats just how it is, because sometimes one little edge may need 1mm sanded off, to make it sit flush, etc.. i have personally inspected all my suppliers current stock, and as i previously said, the surface quality is awesome, 9 out of 10 maybe more..

as for stuff being stolen from the container, i dont have insurance, but my supplier will re-emburse any loss for me, and in turn, i will give full refunds if the merchandise never shows up.. im not 1 bit worried about this, i dont feel that there will be any issue with things getting stolen, as my supplier has never had an issue with it, plus i have the safety net, that he will refund all my money, and the fact, that if the stuff does get stolen, he will just bring them in in the next container 1 months later..
also that my father is an imporeter of italian foods, like pasta, biscuits etc, and has never had any issue with is containers being broken into..

i think that answers all your questions eh??

- a drill
- some screws
- screwdriver

thats pretty much it for fitting..
you will need some more tools to get the stock bar off..

I mean, I know China is far away, but do these suppliers realise the distance between here and China isn't actually measurable in light years? the initial estimated time for arrive was late feb, which was stated in the first post.. this is only a 1 month delay so far.

you must also remember, these are coming back in a 40ft container filled with other kits too, its not a matter of just making up a couple exa bars and away they go, they need to get the rest of the kits made as well..
plus transit both ways is a few weeks, possibly 4 total..

they had to mould the exa bar, and are producing 15 bars for me, its not a 1 day job aye..

anyways, my apologies for the delay, but with the amount you saved, and the time OP would have taken to make a single bar, this is no big deal :P

Adam mate, realise that I never ever mean to sound like I'm angry with yourself or OzKits, even though it probably often seems that way. It's just, I need to bitch to someone to feel like I am being active in pursuing my purchase, and, well, suppliers operate through you, so you're the middle man I scream at hehe. But, I do realise that for everyone else it's only a month delay, and I did have the option of taking the $375 O/P bar and I declined in favor of this one.

I understand, and I can appreciate the situation. I'm just venting frustration because it's holding up other things I want to do with my car. It's not the money, it's the principle. Jim's an idiot, that much I accepted the first time he failed to keep his promise to you to have my bar ready (which was re-affirmed the countless times after that). I guess my frustration is aimed at suppliers in general. I mean, from what I've seen, none of these suppliers seem to be able to keep their word. It seems like any fool with two hands about him can get into the supply trade and setup a shit list of people to piss off in their enterprise. It doesn't matter how much you order, your suppliers should be able to cope or they should tell you no from the get go. If these people are going to start out being vague on dates, then give you a set date, they need to be prepared to back it up or atleast compensate you on their failings so that you can keep your customers happy. There seems to be a situation where these suppliers overlook the fact that the people they supply have their own businesses to run.

Just want to let everyone know the quality of these bars... When i had my accident it felt like the bumper was ripped off and i had driven over it. By the time i got out of the car and looked at it, only one piece was missing.. it had been driven over but was still intact and sits in place where it fell out from.

Very impressed with my bar, so i will recommend these to anyone.
