well my car is going into the paper this week, so hopefully will be gone by the end of the week.
this is going to leave me with a heap of parts that i wanna try and offload to get some more cash.
Waggott stage 3 cam, just ground, not used yet $100
FJ20t injectors, had checked and they have a good spray pattern, akela will concur that they were recently cleaned $200
et turbo mags, no gutter scrapes, good nick, $150 no tyres, or have brand new kelly tyres on em 250 (tyres alone were 280)
block, rods, pistons, jack shaft, flywheel, sump basically a whole bottom end.
have other bits laying around, i will post up anything worth selling that i find.

does that include flywheel and ring gear? what conditions it in? i wanna try and get rid of this grinding start problem.
do you just change cams over or do you have to remap ecu or something? what kinda difference would it offer

the flywheel is pretty rusty, its at a mates place in sydney so i couldnt tell you the condition of the ring gear. Will have a look when im down there next week.
the cam will slide straight in, not too sure how it would run with a stock ecu, but is a great upgrade if you have aftermarket ecu.
will give alot more top end, this cam is designed to be at its optimum performance through the same rev range as the turbo is on boost.
as luck would have it, this is actually the same cam sam has in his exa.

is there any work required to the cam before you put it in? and theres difference to both turbs and unfortunate NAs like me?

this cam would be a great upgrade for a na engine too, i had stage 2 in my car, and it went pretty hard. (i once had an na pulsar)
the cam is the same for both the na and turbo e15's, just the timing belt pulley has a difference of 6degrees. so the turbo cam with the na pulley is the same as a na cam with a na pulley.
The cam still has heaps of meat left on the underside of the lobe, and more lift could have been achieved, but i thought this was more than enough. if you want specs i can post up the cam sheet.
forgot to mention, i also have a set of slicks, 225/515 - 13 and they are bridgestone, have pretty good tread left on them, and are full slicks, not the crappy grooved slicks.
not sure what these are worth, so make me a decent offer.

my pay should be going in overnight so i'll have to sit down and work out my finances for the next fortnight and then i'll let you know if i'll take the cam... any ideas on how much extra postage is?
and could you give me a quick run down on fitting the cam (even tho im an apprentice haven't done much "engine work" yet...)
like just take timing belt and top pulley off? or rocker cover comes off and rocker arms etc?
but fingers crossed i'll be able to get it off you... just outta interest as well whats retail for a stage 3 cam as well

it is a fair bit of fucking around to fit the cam,
first you need to undo rear, drivers side and front engine mounts, and jack the drivers side of the engine right up
take rocker cover off, take rocker arm off, timing belt etc
then take the alloy plate off the drivers side end of the head, the old cam will just slide out now, and the new one will slide in, do the reverse
you will have to jack the motor up enough so the cam slides out over the driverrs guard.
be carefull you dont jam a cv shaft or something when jacking.
the alternative is taking the head off, but then you have to pay for a new head gasket too.
cam cost me 120 plus postage, for 100 i will pay postage provided it isnt more than 15 bucks to perth.
the main advantage is that for people without a spare cam they dont have their car off the road waiting for their cam to be ground.
