Will a wiring harnes off of a ca18de work on a det engine and computer?
Will the driveshafts that are used on the cai8 fit into the wheel end of a e16?

computer...no, but you can get yours programmed to do what ever you want.
harness...no but i read a post a while ago that you could wire up the 3 wire o2 sensor with out the three wire harness from the 16de...so if this was true then you could use the existing harness in your car.

someone will let you know, as i am sure that you have to get the 16de computer reprogrammed any hows so what would the difference be?

coo!-that your doin the det!!!
when i was going to do a det i was told that the only reason i needed the wiring harness was for the 3 wire o2 sensor, if you can find a way to wire it up...i cant remember but it was something like orange wire goes to computer and then hook up white to battery + and black to ground or ...something like that...if someone can confirm this from another post that i read once it would greatly help.
as for the computers...i'll check the plugs on all the ones i got and see if they are the same configuration...in my head i think that they would be the same it's just the programming that would make the big difference.

oh ya...
i just saw your second q-hehe
if you have the tranni out of a 18de...the axles will not fit the knuckle of the 16de...the splines are different.
in order to do it properly you would have to get a set of knuckles from a wrecker and i recommend putting new bearings in at the same time due to the fact that they are out and it is easier.
the two bolts at the bottom of the strut are a bitch to get out also and odds are you'll have to get an allignment after due to your camber will be out as it is almost impossible to get it at the same settings.
as for the brake caliper fitting on the 18de knuckle from the 16de car...i am not sure but i would assume...i can check that for ya when you get that far as i have lots of spare parts-hehe

Ya you can use the ca18det harness, but you have to do couple things, first, you have replace your existing ca18de fuel injector plugs to a ca16de, they ca18de ones are keyed different. the other thing is your o2 sensor, the ca18det has 3 wires red, black and white, while the ca18de has only one orange wire, so this is what you want to do.
the orange wire that goes to the ecu it hooks up to your white wire of the O2 sensor, the black hooks to ground and the red hooks up to your ignition, so it only has +12v when you turn the ignition on.
you definitely need to reprogram the ecu, whether it is a ca16de or a ca18de ecu. other wise your engine will detonate and that is the last thing you want to hear.
JWT programmed mine and I love it, they are in located in the USA and they ship to all over the world. Here is there website www.jimwolftechnology.com . when you use jwt, you have to use bigger afm from a 300zx 1990-1996.
Here is a link to my website, I have it in detailed how to do the conversion http://www1.freewebs.com/pulsargtr/
