i notice alot of simple questions being asked that can be answered with a few minutes of searching


ps. im not trying to sound like an "A" hole but maybe make it a diffrent colour or something.. i dunno :tripper2:

Its a good idea.
It isnt really noticable.

But even if it is bigger, I doubt it will stop the questions.

Ours is reletively easy compared to some forums of which i am a member. You acutally have to search for the search button!

Atleast ours has it in every instance within the board. I.e. one at the top of the 'board' one in each forum and one in each thread. All with the 'advanced' option to take you to the full optioned search.

i reakon they should make the site so that you can't post for the first 10 times until you use the search button, i reakon that would get rid of a tonne of threads started by newbies

It may be anoying sometimes, but we were all noobs at one stage. If they ask, give them the info they want and refer them to old threads if you can.

For some people this could be there 1st forum, so they have no idea that a search button even exists!:p

thats not a bad idea, or put like big red notice like in the for sale forum for the first couple of topics they start "HAVE YOU DONE A SEARCH?!?!?"
even tho theres already the "has this been asked before"

this site is quite good, you dont even have to wait for a new page to load like some as you can jsut type it in the popup.
Its not that they dont think there is a search feature or that they dont want to use it... they just dont think of it. and genuinely think that no one else has asked it before. lol.
So yeah a big suggestive banner on the new thread page for their first 3 threads or something? i dont think it should work off post count...

needs to allow two and three letter words, especially when your looking for shit like TPS, AFM, GP, etc. etc.
