hey .

I have a problem with my N12 exa it isnt starting the turbo timer reads that the battery is flat only reading 6 volts.

When i jump start it, the charge reaches 12.2 volts on idle usually should sit at 13.0.

When the car takes off the battery looses it charge until it reaches 6.00 and dies.

I got a new drive belt putting it on today.

See if it works.

So any one have this problem before . any suggestions.

Thanks

hey
sounds to me like either your battery is completely screwed and wont hold any charge or that your alternator is stuffed and is not charging the battery

dunno just my 2 bobs worth

sounds like the alternator. simple way to check is to get a multimeter and put it across the two terminals on ur battery.
start the car, at idle you may not read much voltage, but rev the car, at around 3000rpm (usually anything above idle) the meter should read 14.1 volts, if it doesnt the alternator isnt charging, if it does it isnt the problem.

Is your charge light on incabin ?

I had a similiar problem with my n12 exa few weeks ago
turned out my charge light was on, but was really dim
dim enough not to see it during the day, but enough to just see it at night, if looking closely

Eventually the alternator got worst, light got brighter and then she went

Battery died a few times b4 the alternator died
