WOOT WOOOT!

Hey does anyone actually have Nissan Langley lights on their exa? And a pic? I am considering doing this conversion next. I remeber in an old post someone said that a place had a kit for sale, to do this with. Also is there much modification required to the light to get it to fit the exa? And does anyone have some lights for sale?

Another thing, lights from and R32 skyline might fit with a lot of customising and they're probably easier to find. What yall think?

Does anyone have pics of the langely lights? id like to have a look at em hey.

i'd like to see the langely lights too!
but as for mods to the car to house mine(which i made myself)...the hole in the back had to be larger than the existing one, due to the recessed depth and width of the new lights.
go to buy and sell to see mine.

Yes u can do this, there was a yellow exa that lived near me with skylineish round lights.... Didnt look that great but thumbs up for at least trying...

Personally i wouldent do it, as it would take ALOT of time and custom work to mould the new lights into the back... Exa lights are unique enough as it is.......

anything is possible...if you can vision it, find the steps on how to get there and then follow through.
those lights would look keen but they are not recessed.
be a bit to mod in but yes...different.
i like'em...kinda like mine-hehe
except they have all the legal markers at the bottom.

Yeah well I gave up on the round light idea. Till later.

Anyone know if there is a size of those lights i forgot what they're called, starts with a p, pizaz or something that can be modified to fit an exa, you know the ones that are see through and chrome round the bulb and on lancers and stuff. I've seen em custom fitted on a 89 Accord. And the guy said it wasn't too much work. :tonguepla

oliverfehr
20th January 2003, 12:38 AM

:hitwall:

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOOOTTTT PUT ALTEZZAS ON UR EXA

the only car that looks good with altezzas is an altezza!!!

they look SHITTY, all plasticy, tacky

clear, ok. altezza, NOOOOO

oliverfehr
20th January 2003, 09:16 PM
yes yes actually those mazda car i that come out with altezza lights stock are nice. Mazda 6 i think. I want altezza on my exa , hey it would be different.

bogan
20th January 2003, 09:40 PM
dude.. i dont think they made these lights for exas..
therefore will need a lot of customising to fit some in...

Matt
20th January 2003, 10:13 PM
No there is not enough demand at the moment for clear lights on an exa so if we dont jump up and down then noone will make them for us. My exa is red so i think it looks good how it is with the red lenses. Just my opinion.

yes...alot of customizing...
the only ones i figured out to be the easiest to mod due to their size and shape were the euro lights off an s-10 or s-15 chevy pick or blazer.

hey that's mark's langley  i like that car =)

anyway.. when i was down at pulsar parts last mark and i compared a set of exa lights to a set of langley lights he happened to have lying around.

They're roughly the same height and width.. that much isn't a problem. they've got indicator on the bottom however and we've got ours on the side.... the actual plastic frame of is deeper in dimension than the other (i think the langley was deeper)... and a lot of other niggly things. but if you're crafty... and good at working/molding/cutting/bending/soldering/making braces then this could be conversion for you. As with everything it's a lot of work.. but man wouldn't they look sweet on an exa.

Personally if i was to do it.. i'd like to have an exa set of exa lights so i wouldn't be without my original lights for too long.. it could take a while.

Do you have any updated pics of you round lights TTrix?

Ferrari-style lights might look good if it was done properly. This would be more than a simple cover though since the globes need to be in different places otherwise they won't line up with the circles.

I LIKE MUCH. Wish it was real.

Matt

That would look nice... again, would be hard to do and you'd need to place the indicators somewhere. Perhaps re-wire the indicators into the outer circles.

Chaotic
3rd April 2003, 12:26 AM
the hardest part would be installing the actual lights... (breaks, indicators, reversing... etc) not to hard splicing into the original wiring!

Mervic
3rd April 2003, 09:56 AM
Why not just use the outer brakelights as the indicators. I have seen them a lot in domestic cars (Corvettes) here in NA.

oh yeah...
the way i had them lighted was all four were tail lights...the inner two were brake/tail and the outter were signal/tail...the hazzards worked with the signals and the reverse lights i blacked out-rev lights are a "grey" area on a safety anyhows-hehe-i love grey areas!!!

looks real sweet...but does it flow with the lines of the car??from a side view would it look strange?? very nice, hope to see a finished product...what ever happened to the last one??round tail lights, big wing....did it get finished??

NX EXA
23rd April 2003, 09:37 AM
It looks good but just like Sonix said.....I'm afraid to see what the lines are like on the side. I think the R33's would be a better line to suit.

TTriX
23rd April 2003, 10:35 AM
lines-hehe we dont need no stinking lines...
i moulded in the lights form the side...
so there are none...they would have looked good but it was a bit easier to mould them in rather than make a lip like trunk...i was running out of time as i drove 6 hours to do the job for him and my lady was quite upset that i didnt spend anytime with her as it was-hehe
he has the factory spoiler and another wing to mount on top which it looks good both ways...
i think he made a wise choice on those tails as it totally sets it off!
as for mine-hehe...
i have the det out getting the cams put in, polished, ported and triple cut valves...
and when the fuel cell is in and the car is running and sent off to the dyno shop...when it comes back i can start on my bodykit...trust me..it will be crazy!

TTriX that looks fucking insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:D :D :D :D :D

A hundred times better than the other ones you did! To be honest i didn't like your old ones very much, but this will look insane! Looks like a lot of effort though, but its good to see someone just giving it a go! I wish i had the skills to do that kind of thing... When that is finished you will have the sickest car ever!

TTriX
24th April 2003, 09:13 AM
thanx matt!
it means a great deal comming from you.
but unfortunatly that was not my ride...that was pulsar gtr's car...

i went up there to do the job for him as he had ordered the tails from japan and asked me to do it-hehe...now i have to do better on mine-hehe
i really liked the skyline tails on the pulsar!
T

25th April 2003, 02:27 AM
Drroooolll, dude that is so mad! You should stick to trying to make ones like that, not the skyline ones. These ones are way cooler:eyelids:

TTriX
29th April 2003, 08:45 AM
actually these were off a 2000 skyline gtr...
this is a side angle with the spoiler and gives you's a better idea due to it all being one colour.

TTriX
30th April 2003, 01:46 AM
ya thats raf's car...or pulsar gtr depending what name you go by.
i drove 6 hours each way for two weekends to do the job-hehe
but it was worth it...another finished job for my album-hehe
T

...as for the rear spoiler...i preffered the look with out it but i still thought it looked good both ways!!

Packrat
30th April 2003, 04:16 AM
rafis car is nuts. why doesnt him and u guys and jj all come on the america pulsar cruise, its in boston? its not that far away. some guys are coming from cali and phoenix and dallas, and florida. so why not come down u guys? go check out the cruise section - North America

TTriX
30th April 2003, 09:57 AM
i was going to go on to your cruise but then i looked at the date and it happened to be the same time as i had planned the cruise to our nations capital on canada day!
sorry man...
but i know that your destination is not that far either.
you guys will have to set up another one too!

would those fit on my 85 pulsar?
(pic before mods)

TTriX
7th May 2003, 03:12 PM
alex...
first of all...anything is possible-hehe
and yes i am sure they would fit...it would work out to the same amount of modifying as you would have to do the trunk, rear middle and rear quarters...
it is a fairly big job but the end result is nice-hehe

maybe you should check into the r32 tail lights???
they would seem to fit the lines better...on your era of pulsar.
