Hey everyone.
Im thinking of respraying my exa soon. Got a couple of questions.
What is the different between 2 pac and acrilyc paint, other than the cost.
I was thinking of respraying my car in that bright red that HSVs come in now what prices should I be looking at. (So i don't get ripped).
What colour do you ppl think suits an exa the best.

if your looking for a cheap respray, go the same colour as your car now then you dont have to spray the engine bay...

i have found that the 2pac has a higher fill rate...ie. it will hide more flaws than the acrylic.
other than that i am not sure but it's not like you getting into gel coats so it shouldnt be that pricey anyways.
maybe the reason they said so high for price was due to the colour...red is the most expensive as it is all natural pigments...not like the rest which are man made.

So if 2 exas where sprayed the same colour one in 2 pac the other in acrylic then they wouldn't look any defferent?

i think that the 2pac is thicker and takes longer to cure dur to the fill rate of it.
but jic...ask a paint shop as i am not a painter-hehe, i am a 'glasser!!!

if u were having it resprayed in white, the colour it is, would it cost extra to have them colour code the rear view mirrors etc? about whats a good quote to have ur car resprayed the same colour and also colour coded?

odds are if you were getting your ride resprayed, and you took in all the extra pieces that you wanted colour matched they would do it for you...prolly wouldnt charge too much either as they are right there doing it already.
they prolly wont give any warranty on the pieces you bring in though, due to them being plastic!

Hey ppls the dude that i bought my car from had his red exa sprayed 2pac blue (its identical to the nissan pulsar blue i think) he reckons its cost him 4grand, but my estimate would be 3 or less cause its not the greatest job in the world and the engine bay hasnt been resprayed neither....

4 GRAND??? WHAT THE FUCK????
Why do that to a car worth a couple grand more???
I got a place offering me $800 for 2 pac and I seen some cars they done, they do a damn good job.

its kinda got these glitter speckles through it so i dunno but thats wat he said dude so dont shoot me, hold ur fire hehehe 800 is good!!! im puttin a new rear and front bar on, and getting sum touch ups done soon as soon as i get the front bar, so if u got quoted 800, maybe my estimate wont b as high as i had thought!!!!!

Flano, it would be best if u went and got a quote from a few different places.... I reckon it would be around $400 - $500 to respray the front and rear bars, plus maybe do a few little repairs here and there.... Reason being as the colour on ur car will need to be colour matched..... $800 to respray an entire car will give u exactly what it sounds like.. a $800 paintjob... U will be able to see the difference between $800 paintjob and a professional $3000- 4000 job.... trust me
