well my exa is gone, sold for a measly 3 grand... with no wheels or stereo.
came down a long way from what i wanted, but as usual, i am impatient and wanted to move on.

the guy that bought it left 2 seconds after the sale, and didnt take his foot off the gas till he was out of sight.
it was pretty dissapointing watching someone thrash the shit out of something i had spent so much time on, and dont even let mates or relo's drive.

oh well it was bound to happen.

i will hang around, try and help out where i can..
maybe by the end of the week i will have the car back with either a blown motor or a smashed front end and will continue to be a faithful exaclub member :(

Its always a sad day when a beautiful car you built with your own hands rolls out of your life forever, I felt exactly the same when I sold my S14 that I built....

Good luck in your new adventures...

SO IM GUessing that the new owner wasnt interested in joining the club...

what a wanker :(
im now glad i didnt sell my car, even tho it isnt very modded i have spent many many hours working on it and to see someone else thrash it would be heartbreaking.

the new owner could have at least driven off calmly, thats what i do when buy a car, u gotta pay your respect to the last owner, cos no matter how shitty or awesome the car is, the owner will always be looking while you drive away with a bit of remorse...

so when is the new project coming along? u gonna stick with the club rite?

new project is comming in the next fortnight, just waiting to find one i like - s14a 200sx.

i have never thrashed a car straight after i bought it, i usually drive for a few mins just to get a feel for the car first.

yeh ill still hang around exaclub, ive been here that long i wouldnt know where else to go!

well maybe his newbie ass dint know how to drive it and u shouldint have sold it to a 17 year old i mean im 18 but still if i lived over there and had the money and actually bought it i would take a little time practicing with it unless hes really that dumb of a ass to go flyin off like that then u REALLY sold it to the wrong person:eek: :( :thumbsdow

you know when i sold my last car i had a choice sell it to a guy that came over flyin up in my area where i lived in a civic or sell it to a older guy that wanted it because its low on miles and wouldint tear and wear anything out on it but actually drive it normal for MOST of the time hes gonna have it unlike other people out here that get a car and fly around in it till it breaks

to be honest i didnt think he would be that bad, he used to drive an eb falcon which he just cruised in, not like a dickhead, and when he test drove the exa he was pretty light footed and didnt even turn the boost up.
however i dont think there is any 17 year old who wouldnt thrash a turbo car, hell im 22 and i still do.

I've enjoyed reading your stories!!! I will share the one of mine, but it's a little in the reversed order...

When i first got to know the exa revolution about a year and a half to two years ago i feel in love with my mates n12 exa right away. At that time i was driving a datto 180B and the thing was literally a piece of shit. The clutch was buggered because i had been doing too many burn outs and i just wanted to blow the thing up. Anyways i finally tracked down this mint looking exa from Golden Grove way...

http://www.n12turbo.com/cars/mark/thumb_myexa4.jpg

A guy was selling it privetely. Anyways... i didn't have the money on me at that time and he could have easily said no, because i literally made him wait 3 months. Anyways, the only reason why he held it for me is because i promised him i would take good good care of his baby car. And yes i still do take it back to him sometimes to show him modifications and stuff, he loves it and still does to this day! So i think that it really depends on the person. I still give it a little thrash a couple times but hey, it's a turbocharged vehicle, what's the point in having a turbo if you can't put your foot down a few times. The only thing i don't like doing is of course burn-outs, tyres aren't cheap for my 15" and i don't like replacing clutches... i think i found this out through my datto 180B. LOL :flamedevi

Hey

Shame to hear u sold the exa, fucks me off to here that some inconsiderate little shit would drive like that. I bought my car at 16 off a 30yr old family man, it was his hobby car, and ur story has just made me wanna take it back and show him how far i've come. When he wrecks your hard work into a tree, just think bout the good times man, the good times!!

Hope u find joy in ur S14, just replaced my S15 turbs in my exa with a S14spec, we'll be related!!

once again sorry to hear ur car is gone, just pray he was just showing off, he'll learn when he does a few $k worth of damage...

Yea the guy was probably guy showing off. But have you eva thought he had a exa before? He could be a top exa driver. Yea i dunno.

Anyone who drives their exa like that shouldn't even deserve to have one, let alone have a car, hehe. I treat mine with respect and drive it around like a show car, still proud that i know my tyres are in perfect condition and clutch is still in tact. Amen to that i say.

i was 16 when i got my n12, it wasnt turbo, but it was qik.. and yes, i thrashed it! only the engine tho, i did everything i could to make it look nice, cleaned twice a week :D

i drive my n13 hard, but only cos its got the shitty CA16DE and i want it to die so i can have an excuse to go ca18det.. it was reco'd 15,000 km ago so not much chance of it dying ;)
NO BURNOUTS THO!!!

Your all a bunch of nancy's!!! I thrash the shit out of my exa, and I love doing it. Once the paper work is in his hands, he can do what he wants to it, you did want to sell the car not rent it out to someone!!! haha, imagin that.

Tru sam, i did thrash mine when i first got it, but have backed off now, cos it can't take it... urs can tho so i spose why not!!

Once he owns it he can do what he wants, but there's a thing called consideration.... i can't see any reason he HAD to do that... but i know we all thrash our N12's a bit.. hehe

Hey,
haha - mine cant allways take it, but thats just the way it is. If its feeling good, give it the noot, if she's sick, only go half sick!
The first time I started my exa, I did a big fat grass burnout in the backyard! Consideration is for the weak! hahahaha

i totally agree, once the papers are signed, its all his. I did expect him to thrash it, and i have to say that i did give it a hiding myself.
it was just hard watching someone else do it, i havent let anyone but myself drive my exa since i have owned it.

the wheels are being sold tomorrow i hope, the dude is pretty keen.

well speaking to a co worker today, he said that the guy who owns my car has now beaten...

1. r33gtst
2. sr20 180sx
3. gtir pulsar.

so it cant be going too bad, however it is now in a shop getting repaired because something has failed due to "normal wear and tear", he wasnt real clear on what it was... no doubt i will find out soon.

also the sale of my wheels fell through, so anyone interested, drop me an email.
