Time for da beast to go I'm afraid! I got a new project thats gonna swallow cash quicker than japanese hostess girl!

Details:-

1988 Nissan Exa in white with a spotless Grey interior. The car was originally prepared for hillclimbs, and has the following:-

Half roll bar - not that you'd ever be driving that fast to flip it would you!

Recon Motor less than 40,000kms ago. Forged racing pistons with a High Energy Deep Oil Sump, Tighe Cams, extractors with a straight through tuned exhaust and a big big big rear pipe.

The suspension has been dropped front and rear and she sits low and mean on nice 15's with good 205 tyres.

The engine has a Whiteline sway bar across the front and the car has been fitted with a Pirhana remote control alarm/immobilizer.

The Targa Tops don't leak and are in good condition. Its fitted with the standard radio and speakers.

The windows are tinted, she's got a fire extinguisher mounted next to the gearshift.

I've spent a silly amount of time ironing out all the little bugs common with EXA's (new det sensor, coil pack, temp sensor) and fitted Iridium sparkies. The aircon has just been regassed, works just like everything else (includin all the guages).

Now she's registered until end of April 2003 and I'm looking for offers around about the $5900 mark. If you want to see her then I driver her to the city every day (Sussex St) or you can view at other times in Randwick.

it was established that the owner was under the impression that all EXA motors were DET, however it is now know that this car is NOT turbo, it is just the standard CA18DE engine..... can this be confirmed by another person aswell please....

Nope this is not a Turbo but a CA18DE twin cam injection model.

I have never advertised it as a turbo, just mistakingly put in in the members rides as a DET.

Last time I put it up for sale it started to run like a bag of sh*t. I was offered $4500 but didn't want to sell it for this, or to sell it if it wasn't running right. Now I've spent a lot of time getting this car running right which has meant a new det sensor, coil pack, iridium plugs, a new clutch master and slave etc etc etc.

I now feel its in a condition worthy to sell on to a new owner, and should give the new owner very little trouble (which is rare for a 15 year old EXA!).

I must thank lots of the members of this forum for helping me work out what was wrong with its running, and now I feel better equipped to take on computer controlled fuel injection cars.

My new car is a 1958 Porsche 356, which is gonna cost another $20-$30k to restore. Thats why I'm selling this car.

Its not dodgy, and I welcome anyone to inspect it.

You gets what you pay for with an EXA, and this is cheap bearing in mind the mods etc.

There you go

ill ask the question again..
has the HALF ROLL RAGE been engineered??
or who put the roll cage in etc...

Sorry boost. I bought the car with the roll bar a year ago off the owner who had all of the mods done. Stupidly I didn't get all of the paperwork, so I don;t have an engineers cert for it. The roll cage is a half roll cage though, and it doesn't go into the front of the car, just the rear.

It was professionally installed, and when I get home I'll have a peek at the sticker that says who made it! I've had no problem registering it in the past.

Cheers

I know it might sound strange for an Exa, but everything works:-

Air Con - just regassed
Coil Packs
Oil pressure guage
no leaks on targas
etc etc

The only thing I want to do is have the injectors cleaned and cc'd so that it loses its lumpiness around 1.5k to 3k

Like I said its a great car, and packed full of sensible mods.
