ok, the rare lil n12 cabrio is probably on its way to becoming a hyundai now, as i sent it to scrap metal for $20 the other day. so i figured i would take a couple pics as she was going.

goodbye to a part of n12 history. she had a good life... i was the 3rd owner of her. statik was the second. we had fun.

had series 2 (black n blue) door trims etc in it too.... and an immaculate dash, not a single crack etc.... ahhh well :)

hmmm well thats debatable.... it was converted to a convertible in the nissan factory, which is the only reason I question people saying its not a genuine.... it is not the desirable version of the 'verts (androids is) but its still awesome...

I want to know what happened, last time I saw it, it was running (although with a dodgy turbo) did the rust situation get worse?

it was more the fact that stat sold the head to tyler cos tyler needed a head...

then the plan was to sell too newexa_gurl (aka nikki) but she payed 200 out of the agreed 500, then couldnt pay anymore, so the deal was forfitted.... she also bought another head for it in the mean time, and gasket... which were left with the car...

i then asked statik that if i payed the remaining $300, could i have the car for myself as i need the engine and interior etc... he agreed, i gave him the money a couple days later, thus mine...

i then took engine out etc, gearbox, carpet, front seats, top half of the back seat, tail lights.... and parts of the loom....

then it went to scrap metal.....

oh, tyler the little gronk stole my c.v joint out of it too, and wheel hub assembly on the drivers side....

this is to all, mainly Joel, because i dont know how many times ive said it now....

it was done BY NISSAN before it even had a single km on the car... i HAVE THE PAPERWORK... i dont give a shit what anyone has to say about it not being legit, because she was... i know you dont wanna hear that Joel, because you like to believe you have the rarest n12 around, but buddy, you dont....

ask tyrone... he seen the paperwork, and he seen the welds throughout it, along with the extra bracing that NISSAN put in there with the NISSAN stamp on it...

and at the end of the day, its just another peice of shit exa that passed its expiry date, and im honestly not sad to see it go... i had alot of fun in the car, dialing it up to 15psi and blowing the headgasket and snapping the turbo shaft, not to mention running from the cops in it..

It was a great lil car, although it was a nugget... RIP cabrio...

Sorry chris and other members was chatting to ty on msn at the time and we where talking about how much rust that n12 had and u could of never rebulid it otherwise I think ty would of himself.

i had it sitting at my place for atleast 6 months before it went up to Wyong when we got it running, we had a shitload of fun, as it went sooo hard for a stocker, and did awesome burnouts... i blew the headgasket and snapped the turbo shaft a few days after we got chased by the cops, after dialling it up to 15psi, and when we went to do some work on it, we realised the body was too fucked to be bothered with... Tyrone and I had no more use for it, we had our fun in it, we got what we wanted out of it, and got rid of it...

honestly, i owned one of the rarest exas, so im happy... i got my moneys worth out of it and now its gone...

yeah, i dont like the look of them either... but do u know what i like? the fact that my stock standard n12 can beat a stock standard n13..... thats right, it will beat a standard n13 easy. i kept up with an n13 when mine had a blown head gasket. and justin (safe_hoon) can vouch for that... as can a few others...

this car was rare as fuck, yes. im glad i bought it...... i bought it for the parts i needed, i used them, and then i got rid of it because it was being a pain in the ass just sittin in my yard. and i was moving out so i needed it goine.

i offered it to people off the club a while ago. i would have let it go to someone for $30 if they offered, but no1 was interested. so off to scrap it went.

I admit I was miffed to see it end this way, but let's be realistic. With rust & other issues, it'd cost a heap to get it back to it's glory. Say $6 or $7k plus many, many hours.

With a good N13 for $4k, good R32 for $12k, MX-5 for $10k...no-one is actually going to bother.

It was a fun car & it was still putting a smile on dials at the end; it was a fitting end.
