yeh mate
bolbs are fine as i was using them 10mins earlier to when they just both stopped working
i heard theres an issue in the column, something melts and it stops the lights from working
eventually it happens to your highbeams also
just trying to digup more info about it

just cause the bulbs were working 10mins before it happened doesn't mean the filament hasn't blown. start with the simple things first. (we get security cars coming into work few times a week that we service to replace bulbs some as many 3 times a week which is a lot!)
i know i had a problem with the switch on my light stork, but i had that replaced with a new switch, whenever you used to indicate it would flash high beams was pretty annoying, esp when i some times got stuck behind a cop, they dont seem to take nicely to being flashed.

chaos could be right, but i cant see both globes blowing at the same time, though it could happen.
check your headlight relay, it could have given up the go. Parkers do not run through the relay, hence why they still work.
i thought high beam still went through this relay but maybe not.
although after saying that, im looking in the manual, it says there is a headlamp control unit.
doesnt say where its located though, maybe near the fuse box, or even in the steering column

open up the switched and clean em, in my n12 they were full of dirt and once they were clean it all worked great!

ChaosLtd was absolutely right!!
i just cant believe how both bulbs blew at the same time
something dodgying is going on there
took my car to an auto electrician last nite to figure out why they both blew, if there was a reason
didnt find anything
ended up costing me $35 for his time + bulbs
ohwell
if they blow again then ill know something isnt right
while we are on the subject of bulbs
is it possible to get them white looking bulbs ? the ones which are white at night instead of the usual colour ?
or is it blue ?
i heard because we have high and low beam in 1 bulb, we cant get the colours, is this true ?
cheers

I had the same problem, change your fuses for both the headlights and the parkers and you shouldn't have a problem, cant explian why but it fix mine no problems

3 cheers for me
i know you can get those bulbs for the n14+ pulsars try the PGA (http://forum.pulsar.org.au/) trading post, they were doing a group order on bulbs from USA, they might not have ordered yet but this a while ago. but saying that i'm sure they'd know. failing that take out one of your bulbs and have a look at the back for part number/type then try and track down some of those bulbs, slips my name what they're called...

you go chaos!
yes you can get the globes, narva make an optical blue globe that fit straight in, they are blue but actually light up the road a brilliant white colour.
i put em in my exa, cost around 30bucks from an auto shop, the lines on the road and signs light up so much you almost need sun glasses when you drive at night.
