ok before someone considers moving this to technical ill explain myself. My stupid exa has shat its self again! i was driving to work with the engine running the the alarm screamer just started screaming. i was nearly there so i pulled in and turned off and tried dis arming the alarm with the remote no go. so i poped the bonnet and turned off the alarm at the box with the key. strangly my remote central locking didnt work. oh well locked the car and went to work come back out still no remote central locking go to start it no go. I thought maybe the alarm has drained some of the battery so i called the raa. the said battery is all fine we tried turning to alarm back on at the box and it started screaming but still didnt start. turned off the alram at the box and roll started it. i managed to drive it home but car is now in a side street ready for a push start. anyway im posting in the sa section cause can someone point me in the direction of a auto eletrical/alarm installation place which could remove my old alarm remote central locking and put a new one on asap i can get the car there but ill be pissed if i have to roll start it again. off the top of my head i thought of an alarm from car toys for 500ish it is level 4 type alarm and ive seen it in the catolgue. but weather they could disable + remove old alarm and if it could be done preferably tommorow before 4:30 so i can get to work help please someone :hitwall: :thumbsdow

i had the same problem on my old alarm. in my case it wasn't the alarm that was fucked but the ground wire wasn't secure. over a bump it would send the alarm crazy... then when i stopped the immobiliser cut in.

I'd be tempted to say the alternator might be giving you grief...

Hey,
definately sounds like an earthing problem... Check out all your wires and see what you find...
