there are major differences between the e15 and the ca18det,, its pretty hard or impossible to get them mixed up
if its a 87 then its a n13 and if its a 84 then its a n12 hehe
if its a black engine then its probably a e15et unless its an import engine but then they look similar to the aus specs except theire red. e15ets have spark plugs on the front of the engine
ca18det engines are very rectangle and have a black plastic strip running down the middle of it.. ca18det have their spack plugs under the black cover in the middle of the engine

um yeah its got a blue head, and a massive gold pipe (looks 3' or so) running from the turbo to the engine block..... i reckon thats aftermarket... anyway im gonna get it all chekced out by another mate whos a mechanic but yeah.....
ive seen 2-3 of these "turbo" exa's around, are all exa's turbo stock or what? cuz they have the same striping around the side, same paintjob....... anyone wnat to fill me in?
oh sorry if this helps the dash has a turbo boost dial with +5 and -5 on it... which indicated to me it came stock with a turbo, which was why i thought it would be an e15et.... the block isn't square either, its fairly rounded

mmmm ive looked around at cardomain just looking at pics and im pretty sure its an 84' pulsar/exa with an aftermarket turbo, turbo timer etc... which means its an e15et... ive heard these engines can pump 120kw with not too much work done to them, anyone want to extrapolate on what should be done to get the best bang for my buck?

You'd better find out exactly what it is and what's already been done to it before you make any plans.

blow off valve
turbo timer
boost gauge
intercooler
bigger turbo t25
side pipe
new exhaust well most of it
haltech computer
dual stage boost controller
well thats what hes done to it. At the moment the intercooler is being serviced at fuel tech (best place in town for it) and the engine's done a piston or something  which is a bit worrying becuase it might mean the rest of the engines screwed? anyway what do u think a good price would be? this is an 83' or 84' pulsar exa btw, he says 83' but the engine bay says 84'
