I thought the standard boost level for T2 on N12 is 5psi, as that was mark on the original boost gauge. But i see it somewhere said it is 7psi, also what is this bar thing, how much psi is one bar of boost.
I've highflowed my turbo, they say it would be 20% more powerful so how i can know how many psi is it running, and how i can adjust it .

The marks on the original boost guage aren't pounds. It's -.5 bar and +.5 bar. 1 bar =14 pounds. Your turbo will be running 7 pounds. To adjust it you will need a boost controller. If you go to the following link you will find 2 types of controller you can make yourself.

the boost gauge doesnt actually read in bar, it is in mm.mg - millimeters mercury, (or in.mg - inches mercury cant quite remember)
either way it doesnt mean 5psi.
stock boost level is between 6 and 7psi.
One bar of boost is equivalent to 14.7psi
with a highflow turbo, you would still be running the same boost, as the wastegate has not been modified.
When they said it would be 20% more powerful, it was not technically right.
The turbo is capable of flowing alot more air, and is able to flow 20% more power.
it wont actually give you that much extra power, but will support that much extra. For example if you still have an stock exhaust and high flow turbo you prob wont gain even 2kw, however if you put a full exhaust on, you would probably gain 10kw.....
its like a gt28 for example, you can buy a 300hp, 400hp or 500hp turbo, it is all relative to how much power it can support.
as for changing the boost, a simple bleed off valve is all you need, will cost no more than $50.

i just got my new turbo and it is a "garrett GT20" what is it and what sort of boost would it be capable of with a boost controller?
is it a good idea to also get an aftermarket boost guage that reads higher

yes definately get a boost gauge if you dont have one
dont trust the stock boost gauge which is really just a vacuum gauge.
get one thats at least 20psi if your running around 15psi that way you have a bit in reserve for boost spikes/ over boosting
