boost guage

on idle, what should the factory boost guage be reading? -5 or 0?

it should be reading negative as the turbo is not boosting.

if it was on 0 it means that there is no manafold vacuum, this only happens when the turbo is pushing the same amount of air the engine is sucking - which wont happen at idle

when i switch ignition to 'ON' it goes to '0' then when i start the car it goes to -5

is this gauge in psi? if so, then why the f*ck would you put a gauge that doesnt even read up to the stock boost level.....

it reads vacuum, at least the exa had one in 1983.. the silvias didnt even come with any, i dont even knwo if the skylines had them as well.
