Those lights aren't real. They are painted on, or stickers or something.

they look like stickers to me

They might be stickers but its more than possible. You'd need to cut the bottom half of the covers away & adjust the headlight bracket so the light is pointing straight & out of the gap. Might be easier than we think. Otherwise, does anyone know if the 180sx or S13 Silvia has the same sized lights? Because there are a few twin beam conversion kits out for those which look awesome.

If you had to do it all custom i'd guess around $600-800 to have some brackets made up, some glass or perspex molded to go where the headlight covers are now & new lights as well (you would want to add some with parkers as well probably).

Cheers Flano, with that information it should be possible to get the twin-beam conversion into the front of an exa My only concern now is working the headlight covers back into the bonnet.... argh!

This would be good with projector lamps. Does any one know of another car with lights the same width as an EXAs?? Because then a projector lamp kit from another car could be modifed to fit into the exa light housing. That way the light wouldn't need to come up as much since the reflector isn't needed anymore. Or you could do like the picture above but for real (not stickers) and having the lights shine through the bottom half of the cover as Lonx said. The third option would be an all out clear cover like the 180sx and rx7 headlight conversions with lights underneath that don't move.

The pic was working last night!! I'll put it on my server when I get home. To give you an idea it kinda makes the EXA look like an r32 skyline from the front... with similarly shaped lights

That looks sweet!

If you wanted to keep the pop up lights but with a lower profile you could do it like this:

Well I'd probably want to do it on spare lights before I started messing about with my car. Should be fairly simple mod though, just need a bit of cash for the new light fittings. A while back on the old boards someone posted a pic of a celica with this conversion done to it... It would look really mean on an exa though :D

Hey is this the Celica?

If it is, its my brother's car. I actually helped him do this conversion. We just got a set of projector headlights from an Infiniti (Nissan upscale division) J30 which cost $200 a piece but we only paid $40 each. We are in the process of converting it to projectors as we speak. Just waiting for the weather to cooperate. Here is some more pics

Hmm, would it be possible to make removable headlights, so when you feel like it you can have non popups and then change em over and have popups? Ihave 2 sets of lights, and never thought anything of the other set..

if you look at batshanes car domain page, you will see that hes done a non popup conversion on his exa, looks clean as
