I'm having problems with my temperature and fuel gagues...

sometimes they work, but most of they don't...

when the temperature and fuel gague do work they will stop working within 10 mins...

would i have faulty wiring or do i need new gagues???

When you say the fuel guage no longer works, does the needle just fall to the bottom, or does it show an off reading, or does it just bounce all around the place?? Cos my guage is off by about 1/4, so when it says its empty, there is still 1/4 of a tank left roughly...

well... when the gagues work they are both accurate as far as i know...

when they don't both the needles drop to the bottom and stay there...

Sounds to me like loose wires. If it really bothers you, take off the dash and check the connections. They might need to be re-soldered...

Need to replace the voltage regulator. It is a common problem to most EXA/Pulsar, even the Sentra. It is located behind the instrument cluster. Here is a pic of the part,

I took the dash out. Connections seems to be OK. However, the tach needle has no resistence between 0 - 6000 - when the needle is moved it just drops right back down to 0. Above 6000 the needle kinda stays there then drops.
